Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

And what really makes you think is it follows:

Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

In verse 7
1.. man had good thoughts (past at some point ?)
2.. then man had to return to the Lord (present at some point ?)
3..mercy will come (future ?)
4..pardon will come (but established at the point in time --cross)

Just which is past, present and future takes some thought; not even to mention the seperation and ties to righteous and unrighteous.

God evidently goes through all this with no problem, but we will have 10 different stories about what is in one verse (our stories tend to leave out, add to or just confuse the facts).

As a fellow from Mississippi it all gets tough. I tend to cling to God and just have to trust in belief and seek God daily (and most will supply 10 versions to make sure I understand what I just said).

So much of what we believe comes from our traditions. I suppose that is one thing that sends me to Romans 1:19-20 . I look at creation (with pollution being sometimes equal to sin), and seek to understand.

Thank goodness Jesus walks among his church and has sent angels (messengers) to help us.

Again, which day of the Lord?
Amo 5:18 ¶ Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light.

The Day The Lord Jesus Christ returns in the clouds with power and great glory, whereby the dead are raised and we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them and Every Eye will see Him, in which by the brightness of His coming He will destroy the Lawless one, as well as restore all things!

That Day of The Lord!

Would any disagree that the Lord's Day is when He takes the power given Him by our Father?

We read of the "Day of the LORD", "In that day", and "The Lord's day." I have a note saying this is as opposed to man's day. We read of the times of, and the fullness of the Gentiles for instance. One day Jesus is going to sit upon His own throne in heaven and begin ruling. Hebrews 2:8 says we don't see that yet, but it is gong to happen.

He is ruling from the highest seat of authority, right now, in heaven.

8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him.

is a reference to the kingdom of God on earth -

"The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" Revelation 11:15

This is when the prayer, "on earth as it is in heaven", comes to pass!

When then does this following occur?

Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We come to Revelation 4:1 talking of things hereafter. In Verse two there is a throne set for Him, and you think this has already taken place?

This is an end times forum, and I hope I am not causing problems.

Hebrews 1:1-2 And following verses:
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in lthese last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

The prophets agree with the Son (revelation of the present and the future was seen by the prophets). In fact; verse 2 also (IMHO) mentions the worlds being created. The worlds being created is especially read at this time of year. On the 4th day the heavens were created, and the signs in the heavens were enough to guide the wise men to Jesus at his birth (or shortly thereafter). The heavens declare his glory before the prophets and agree with: the prophets, Jesus, and NT writers. The shephards heard from an angel, but it is the same message written in the stars is what the wise men saw.

Here is where traditions sure buck what I see (some say it is the Word that does not agree with my reading). We are going to meet Jesus in the clouds, and something has to get us off the earth to meet him.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and sup with him, and he with me.
Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

IMHO the second door is His pathway into us. It is Jesus coming into individuals and not the Church going into heaven. Later it is the Church going into heaven (kind of like the Prophets first then Jesus). The power of empowered lives is his entrance into us. After our life is over, or we are changen in an instant, we go to the throne (at some point).

Hereafter has two root words "here" and "after". Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. At some point Jesus comes into us prior to us (here), and then going into heaven (after). We have his representation to the Father now seated on his right hand). I totally understand my box is a little different than some other boxes. A lot of boxes exist and some are just wrong (bet many think mine is the one falling apart).

Prophecy about the throne started at creation in the heavens, mentioned by the prophets, described by Jesus, revealed in us, carried out in the presence of God for eternity.

Thanks, but I do not see it. How do you come up with that and when does it or did it take place? Thanks.

Here's the simple fact

Matthew 24:23 "Then if any man shall say unto you, 'Lo, here is Christ,' or 'there,' believe it not."

Matthew 24:26 "Wherefore if they shall say unto you, 'Behold, He is in the desert;' go not forth: 'Behold, He is in the secret chambers;' believe it not."

The fact ......If ANYONE has to tell you that Christ has came,He hasn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same straw man...

Israel is going to be saved in the time of the end exactly as the church of God is saved... By grace through faith.

That nation is going to be led to repentance by the goodness of God and in the end He shall reveal Himself to them... It's an absolute biblical certainty which for some reason so many willfully refuse to see... As we see that Day approaching... The Day of The Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ... Which shall come as a thief in the night and as travail upon a woman with child... At the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Hello Tide,as Ive read all of these post,I can say I do agree with most of what you posted, however I have a question....Why do you seperate the Church from Israel ?

I think T can answer for himself. I will say that that Israel began in the spirit and went toward the flesh. The Church began in the Spirit, by good Jewish folks, and went toward establishing a righteousness of their own. We all can look at the Grace of Jesus and then go toward works of the flesh. As a gentile I am involved in the Church as a graft. When true Israel is involved with the Church (by the Holy Spirit) they are what was originally started. Kind of blows my mind that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. We all should work together.

But the Church is Israel.........The confusion most have, is in the meaning of the word gentile, best described in the link below

http://assemblyoftrueisrael.com/Documents/Thewordgentile.html

People seem to think we had to grafted into,(for lack of a better way of saying this)into the Jew's,when Jew's made up only 2 of the 12 tribes......All Jew's are Israel ,but not all Israel are Jew's......

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Having not detected that you are into Preterism, I will suggest that this elevated place Jesus will have of His own throne set in heaven occurs in Revelation 4:2, "A throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne." This setting is after John is caught forward to the viewpoint of the Lord's Day and that which must be hereafter of Revelation 4:1.

The remaining part of Chapter Four describes Jesus as this one on His throne.

Revelation 4:6 "which was, and is, and is to come "

Revelation 4:11 "for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

As to those reigning with Jesus in His throne note the Twenty-four elders and Four living ones as Ezekiel calls them with Jesus when His throne is set.

My thoughts and thanks JLB.

Those two statements seem contradictory. Jesus is ruling as king now, sitting on his throne, as kings do. It's difficult to imagine a king without a throne.

A lot of things are difficult to understand, that's why we have scripture.

...as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

When He comes to earth, He will sit upon His Throne here and rule from His throne on earth.

Maybe that's what you are referring to.
