The reason why I'm asking is because all I had were nightmares last night, but before I went to sleep I ate potato chips and I'm wondering if that was the cause.

shoot if that is true what about those darn dreams of big blue the power plant? the old homes, and military service. seldom do I have annoying dreams, if its a war time thing that is usually triggered by talking to vets, or about it. I had one of those recently.

Anything can hit your tummy funny and give you vivid dreams.
I remember a "steak and Shrimp/lobster" place my Uncle used to take me to...
I'd stuff myself full...then that night I would have such wild dreams...they were emotionally exhausting but fun and entertaining.
Hey, people pay a lot of money to get emotions out of movies. Dreams are just free movies.

mine are very vivid, I have killed, been killed in mine, fought in wars, relived good and bad memories. the silly power plant one are very clear in what I have seen to include the photos I have taken, parts i have seen. I would have to zoom in on the particular cooling unit and point it out.its not in the photos I have posted

Last night, I was dreaming about being the safety and security officer for some kind of large institution.(I actually did that many years ago) The institution had been raided by some kind fiendish beings similar to humans, and had been evacuated for a time. I was hired to check things out, and when I went in with the director, he said "looks like they all have left." No sign of them. I kept finding passages where they could be hiding, but no one would believe me.
Finally, I suggested to them that the fiends might have carried parasites into the building, and we should fumigate it. We were about to begin when I woke up.
I realized that it was a warped and reversed retelling of something I had actually done.
This law firm had offices in several floors of a high-rise building in downtown Dallas. The paralegals were convinced that they were getting tired and nauseous from carbon monoxide in the building.
It wasn't hard to do some sampling, and the CO levels were well under those at which any sort of symptoms might be expected. But paralegals are highly-valued and skilled people who make lots of money for the firm by freeing up lawyer time, doing research and the like.
So I suggested that every two or three hours, they should take a break, go down to street level and take a brief walk in the fresh air. That fixed everything. No one reported nausea or drowsiness as long as they followed that practice.
But of course, the CO levels on a sidewalk in downtown Dallas are always several times higher than the highest levels we found during testing.

True, good point. Luckily for me I've never had that problem though as I've never had a cavity before so luckily for me I've never even needed a filling.

one vivid dream of being in the guard, yet retired. seeing men I onced trained with and taught and now leaders and allowed to eat chow with them in uniform( not my old ones ) but the current woodlands. all because of a a few vet posts on fb. I must deep down miss the uniform.

I wonder if I will have a dream of the ghosts of my county. I posted a photo of one haunted house and I was asked about that by another. several accounts of dealings with them here. I have dreamt of one while it did happend when I cleaned my wifes grandfathers grave and her uncles and grandmother. I kept seeing a black hat in the distance and told my wife a spirit is her and it was never coming close. something out of the roaring twenties.

Yeah I get those kinds of dreams as well. For instance if I have a headache in my dream nine times out of ten I will wake up with one.

Although this thread is sort of old, does anybody what else can cause nightmares?
