I figured that this was good enough news to share as praise because for the first time in my life, with the exception of the genealogies and other notes inside of it, I have successfully finished reading (or listening to commentary about it if it was too confusing for me) all of the chapters in my Message Bible from cover to cover! :biggrin2 So I am extremely proud of myself right now and I go back to the beginning tomorrow and hope that I can take some new things away from it than I did before. It's time to pat myself on the back and give myself two thumbs up for all of my great work! :thumbsup

That's really good!
As a suggestion, do some deeper dives in Genesis and Exodus, then go read John. You'll be amazed!

Kay! Right now I'm thinking about you as I listen to Crazy Train. :D I am currently writing about a daredevil and that song is played when he does motorcycle stunts. :wink Off topic a bit I know, but it's sort of funny that on the outside he's this wild and crazy man with piercings and tattoos but he also follows Jesus and loves his family with all his heart. It's sort of like a "don't be decieved by appearences"kind of fic. :)

Ha, at least he tells his followers not to ask him who to follow... You know he's touring again

I've tried and tried to make sense of this comment,.. but unfortunately I failed. :/

Ha, I grew up listening to him as a young teenager. While his music tells a story, it's usually done as him in first person.

The song I am referring to is "I don't know" from the same album "crazy train" came off which was the Blizzard of Ozz album. He is known for biting the head off a dove in LA in front of a live audience while touring that album.

From his album in 1982, "diary of a madman", he bit the head off a bat in front of a live audience in Iowa.

These were dark years for Ozzy and his drug abuse was evident, and promoted through songs like " flying high again" and "over the mountain".

Oh,.. you mean Ozzie Osborne followers? I thought you meant followers of Jesus. And that's nasty and cruel btw. Poor bat. :(

That's awesome sis.:thumbsup It's when we understand that of what we have read that brings so much understanding as the Holy Spirit teaches us what God wants all of us to learn.

Good for you! I read the whole Bible cover to cover twice, but I just can NOT read all the footnotes at the bottom of the page. I tried a few times, but it is just beyond me:)
