Song lyrics that stay in your mind.
Profound I guess.
Christian music welcome of course
I might use mainly secular music examples.

I was listening to a 1996 song by Alanis Morissette this morning.
Some of her songs resonate with me. They express irony, bitterness, cynicism. That's hardly Christian virtue I hear you say.
But sometimes we need someone to validate our feelings. Even our feelings are quite negative. Nothing worse than someone saying " you must not feel that way". That makes it worse.
Anyway one line particularly stood out.....
"What it all boils down to
Is noone's got it all figured out just yet".
That's a good lyric imo. Because the mystery of life and God stays a mystery. And maybe that's a good thing. If we absolutely knew the truth, we might behave too arrogantly.

"One Day at a Time" sometimes starts going round in my head. That song has helped me so much for many years.
"Strangers in the Night", "The Moment I Saw Your Face" and "The Power of Love"

Is that the song from the Back to the Future Movie Tessa?
Mike and the Mechanics I think
I don't know if it was ever in a film Humble, or if Mike and the Mechanics recorded it.
Jennifer Rush was first. Celine Dion recorded it, so did Air Supply.

I too have a soft spot for Alanis. She does have a poetic and strong lyrics.
Christian or not..
Much better than a lot of pop music out there..

Not really Christian music either.. but i honestly like the band..

Everyone's afraid of their own lives
If you could be anything you want
I bet you'd be disappointed, am I right?
No one really knows the ones they love
If you knew everything they thought
I bet that you would wish that they'd just shut up
Well, you were the dull sound of sharp math
When you were alive
No one's going to play the harp when you die
And if I had a nickel for every damn dime
I'd have half the time, do you mind?
Everyone's afraid of their own lives
If you could be anything you want
I bet you'd be disappointed, am I right?
Am I right, am I right, am I right?
Am I right, am I right, am I right?
And it's our lives
It's hard to remember, it's hard to remember
We're alive for the first time
It's hard to remember, it's hard to remember
We're alive for the…

Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Singing' don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Rise up this mornin'
Smiled with the risin' sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Saying', (this is my message to you)
Singing' don't worry 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Singing' don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Rise up this mornin'
Smiled with the risin' sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Sayin', this is my message to you
Singin' don't worry about a thing, worry about a thing, oh
Every little thing gonna be alright, don't worry
Singin'

I believe in God the Father, maker of heaven and earth
And in Jesus Christ His only Son
I believe in the virgin birth
I believe in the Man of Sorrows bruised for iniquities
I believe in the Lamb who was
Crucified and hung between two thieves
I believe in the resurrection on the
Third and glorious day
And I believe in the empty tomb and the
Stone that the angel rolled away
He descended and set the captives free
And now He sits at God's right hand
And prepares a place for me
This is my creed, the witness I have heard
The faith that has endured
This truth is assured
Through the darkest ages past
Though persecuted, it will last
And I will hold steadfast to this creed
I believe He sent His Spirit to comfort and to reveal
To lead us into the truth

Petra. Creed!
