Here are some options but you can choose your own..

- have an affair
- have an accident requiring full time care
-leave the toilet seat down
- refuse to have kids
-refuse to work in employment
- refuse to become Christian
- refuse to watch Godfather part 2 again

For me, it might be refusing to be employed. Sharing the breadwinning. I think ideally in any marriage partners are almost equal in economic status. When there is inequality, one might become arrogant, the other feeling powerless.
I don't mind sharing the household duties and looking after the kids. So in this respect I am suited to being married to a career woman. Which is what my wife is.
I witnessed my mother feeling lack of economic power. She worked part time cleaning even she had 7 kids. What a superwoman!
But these days, one or two kids is the norm. We don't have any kids. So both should work. I'm the lower salaried one. But I still work at least.

What do you mean that you don't mind sharing household duties and looking after the kids...but you don't have any kids?

I never saw in my wife that she was expected to pitch in on bills. That's the man's job where I come from. I even went as far as to tell her that if she chose to ever get a job, that she could keep her money because why would her getting a job relieve me from my manly duties? It doesn't.

In your situation, it sounds like you should help your wife to go into business for herself. You can make it happen with the slightest bit of inspiration. Girls our age are too old to be working for someone else, Brother.

Manly answer bro. 😆
My marriage is working anyway. We are married now for 30 years. I must be doing something right ...

Indicate contempt for her partner.
Research shows that expressions of contempt for the partner are CONSISTENTLY RELIABLE indicators of the beginning of REAL trouble... all these above activities and actions would follow EXPRESSIONS OF CONTEMPT. The moment those show up you've got a REAL problem!

Trying to look more masculine.

Fun Fact #289 As I understand it, men were the first to wear the high heels! Women started wearing them to look tough and more masculine.

No love there.

I think refusing to have kids is something that should be discussed in the dating era.

Trying to compromise my values and beliefs. Theology is dangerous, its traditions of men and false doctrine. Romans chapter 16 epistles of John 2 to document. If someone comes with different doctrine, receive him not. Years ago, a neighbor tried to convert me to heresy. Talking about evolution and aliens. I walked away, and avoided him. The person had a subverted mind.

I'm glad that weight gain and mood swing during menopause are not on the list.

Without Christ, I don't see much prospect for a marriage to be the holy union He designed it to be. Refusing to accept Christ is a recipe for disaster.

to me most certainly infidelity as my existence relies on her, so it would not just count as murder but the most agonizing variety possible.

maybe lifelong abuse, weaponizing your own kids against you, keeping your kids from you eventually after divorcing you?
surely finding out your child, isnt your child- what abyssmal shame and insult that would be- i dont think i would be leaving alone in that scenario.
