I guess you will have to get Covid then, because the vaccine is effective at lessening the symptoms and stopping death. People seem to think a vaccine will stop all illness, that is not what a vaccine is for. A vaccine is to kick strat your immune system to protect against the illness getting bad. Everyone who had vaccines as kids can still get the illness, it will not prevent it. If enough people get the vaccine then the illness has no where to go and is effectively stopped like smallpox.

Every death from Covid is now preventable, now it just requires Americans to stop acting like they know more than scientist, stop being so political and do the right thing for everyone and get vaccinated. This new Delta variant is deadly, the next variant will be even more deadly, how many more people must die before others will do the right thing and get vaccinated
What about those who have been vaccinated, but yet got Covid an have died? How do you explain that.

I have no tone, I see you will watch conspiracy theories but shun real science. American or not, every covid death is now on the hands of the unvaccinated. I might not as well not even put any effort into research because people don't care
Did you watch the video crossnote posted that Adoration is watching, but has not yet replied about it?

Did you watch the video @crossnote posted that @Adoration is watching, but has not yet replied about it?
I did not realize I was expected to make a reply regarding the video... I will do so.

It was the FIRST and probably only video I will ever watch and to be honest... I don't know why I even chose to do so... I am not familiar with crossnote's beliefs regarding this issue.

I will state that the doctor made sense to me... HE suggested that right from the beginning.... all efforts to TREAT covid were DENIED and SILENCED.... pointing to WAITING for the VACCINE.... He made mention of the fact that people were sent home by the hundreds with NO attempt to cure them....

This specialist treated his patients.... with a combination of drugs that have been on the market for a very long time...He only lost two patients...He stated that NOT one medication can work alone for treating this... and that was a mistake that was made... by thinking ONE drug could cover it.... He did not list the combination of drugs... he mentioned there are 4-6 medications readily available that can help patients with covid-19... so that they don't reach the point of hospital and death.

This doctor felt that all attempts to try and TREAT covid-19 were denied and silenced.

No. According to the experts:

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine on the effectiveness of Pfizer’s vaccine in the first two months of the vaccination campaign in Israel backed up what had been seen in Pfizer’s own clinical trial. Looking at nearly 600,000 vaccinated people in Israel with another 600,000 matched unvaccinated people, the authors of the study saw that two doses of the vaccine were 92% effective at preventing infection, 87% effective at preventing hospitalization due to COVID-19, and 92% effective at preventing severe disease. (The effectiveness was lower when people had only received a single dose.)

There is no debate about this - the evidence is clear.
Could it be possible that the 92% might not have ever gotten Covid without getting vaccinated? These are the things you have to consider. I've heard of people getting both shots and latter getting Covid and dying. What say you?

My understanding is that the issue is whether the vaccine is effective, not what the long term consequences might be. Not quite the same thing.

But we can talk about what trained experts have to say about the likelihood of long-term effects. Again, it needs to be underscored that if what you are saying is true, we are being misled by the overwhelming majority of experts. That is an extraordinarily difficult position to defend.

But let's get into this. Here is what one expert has to say:

The vaccines widely used in North America and Europe introduce short-lived RNA into your cells, where it is used to make the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, which then triggers your immune system to learn how to attack that protein. (In the AZ and J&J vaccines, the RNA is introduced via a modified cold virus, while in the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines the RNA is packaged directly into nanoparticles.)

The RNA and the spike protein both disappear after a few days, so they can't directly cause any long-term effects; any long-term effect is likely to result from your immune response, which has a persistent memory. So far, the suspected serious deleterious effects -- blood clotting and myocarditis -- are likely caused by the immediate reaction of your immune system, within the first few weeks after vaccination. These are real (at least the blood-clotting is) and can kill. They're also quite rare, in the range of 1 per 100,000 to 1 per 1,000,000 vaccinations. So far, though, there have been no reports of longer-term effects.

While the vaccines do cause serious side-effects, they're rare. Being infected with the virus (which is really the only alternative to being vaccinated in the long run) causes the same kinds of problems, but much, much more commonly. This is not surprising, since infection exposes your immune system to a much broader and more intense set of stimuli than vaccination. And of course, infection also causes lots of other problems that aren't seen with vaccines.

Now, we can debate this, but I think you know that the overwhelming majority of trained experts agree that we should take the vaccine.

I am not an expert - my opinion does not count.
You are not an expert - your opinion does not count.

What do the experts say - the ones who went to medical school and whose professional reputation is on the line?

Get the vaccine.
How do we know the experts are telling us the truth with all their analysis, data, surveying and what-not, especially those so called experts that are funded by the the government? Just because they have degrees and medical training, it doesn't mean they know everything about this virus and now a new strain of it. Do we just keep being vaccinated until the day we die?

I'm not making this political so please no one go there again, but only saying I do not trust the government as we are approching the end of days.

But, in general, the unvaccinated clearly bear moral culpability for what is going on now.
Not all that are not vaccinated as many of us take precautions very seriously. People who have been vaccinated are still getting Covid and dying from it. I have no statics on this, but read it in the paper and see it on the news. Nothing is 100% guaranteed effective.

Not entirely true. It is true that mRNA has been studied for a while, however, mRNA vaccine technology has not been used in practice until now.

If enough people get the vaccine then the illness has no where to go and is effectively stopped like smallpox.
This would be true if vaccinated people were incapable of carrying the virus but this has not yet been fully proven. This is why the CDC still recommends masks even for those who have been vaccinated.

I did not realize I was expected to make a reply regarding the video... I will do so.
I was making that comment to historyb as you had not finished watching that video so how could you reply about it even if you chose to do so at that moment. You do not have to reply regarding that video. You are good.

My understanding is that the issue is whether the vaccine is effective, not what the long term consequences might be. Not quite the same thing.
This is correct. So essentially you are trusting that the long term effects, if any, will not be worse than the virus itself. That's fine. Some choose to accept the risk on the other end and take their chances with the virus.

Its just too early days for me to make a personal decision. I dont like to feel pushed into doing something im not comfortable with. I havent made up my mind if i personally trust and want some companies product injected in to my body. Is that ok.

Back in lockdown for another 2 weeks. It was masks for 3 days, and then lockdown for a few days, now its heading into months. Lockdown was supposed to finish again today but given false hope once again. Why keep extending with a date and time and not just say unsure because it just gives people false hope of freedom.

Did you seriously just separate these two factors?? LOL
Ok so... take the vaccine... because it is effective.... don't worry about what the consequences might be... HAHA...

I think I am done here...
Yes, I was serious. The distinction I draw is appropriate.

I don't understand this point. If the vaccine is so effective and you have the shot, what is there to fear?
Whatever happened to "Trust in the Lord, with all our heart"?
We have been through this many times. First, the vaccines are not 100% effective. So unvaccinated people are a threat to the vaccinated. Second, the more unvaccinated people there are, the greater the likelihood that a variant will emerge against which the vaccine will not be effective. Third, unvaccinated people needlessly divert health care resources.

So, yes, the vaccinated have several legitimate reasons to be concerned about the unvaccinated.

Perhaps it is clear to you... You have chosen to trust... As far as proving that the vaccine is effective... TIME will tell.
No. Just no.

We already know - there is no debate about this - that the vaccine greatly reduces the risk of serious disease and death. And as far as long-term consequences, the experts have explained why such long-term consequences are not expected.

Again: It needs to be underscored that the experts are pretty unanimous: the risks of not getting the vaccine greatly outweigh the risks of getting it.

As much as I don't understand their point on not getting vaccinated, it is still their choice to not get vaccinated. That doesn't mean that we stop respecting them.
It is not simply "their" choice - it is a choice which affects everyone.

The other side
Ok, let's talk about this video.

This video was posted by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS).

What is this organization?

In September 2009, St. Petersburg neurosurgeon and future president of the Florida AAPS David McKalip received significant public criticism for emailing a falsified photo showing President Barack Obama as a witch doctor with an exotic headdress, loin cloth, and bones in his nose.

And this is just for starters - there is more to reveal about this dubious organization.
