The Taliban were founded in southern Afghanistan by Mullah Mohammad Omar, a member of the Pashtun tribe who became a mujahedeen commander that helped push the Soviets out of the country in 1989. In 1994.

Taliban is a fundamentalist Islamic force in Afghanistan.

The Taliban have always been citizens of Afghanistan.

They, unlike us are defending their own country.
It's awful to see those persons abandoning their home and leaving their life behind rather than to live under sharia law.

I don't like theocracies.

I don't like evil theocracies.
Hopeful
I think any theocracy will become evil.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
This is what happened to the CC. It was almost a theocracy since it ruled even the government in many cases, and in some cases it was the only ruler. I'm speaking of about 600 to 800 and through to maybe the 1800's.

I would fear even a Christian theocracy.

As you must be able to tell, the theocracies that don't serve God are not of God.
Hence, they are not theocracies at all.
Unless their "theo"(?) is the devil.

Interesting point.
But they THINK they're serving God...
You wouldn't mind a Christian Government?
It will be run by MEN....

Hope you are OK there. As really hope you can come back on as soon as possible. Praying for those that are serving or have served. God bless you!

Hi!

I'm Kimberly, 20 years old, in the army deployed to Afghanistan..
I found this website, just thought I would check it out. It would
be awesome to have other Christians to talk to! Sometimes it
can be hard feeling like you are one of only a few Christians,
especially when you aren't around alot of females at all.

I'm a new Christian, I have been saved for about 6 months..
I made the decision after sev. months of praying
and thinking about it.. than I realized I can't be
one foot in the world and one foot for Him..
I need to give him my WHOLE heart..
best thing that has EVER happened to me.
I definitely realize what God has done for me,
and this new creation that I am in Him. It
is also one of the hardest things, but it's way worth it..
especially when you think of all that Jesus went through
for us.

I have been deployed for about 7 months..
about 3 months ago my best friend was killed
while she was home for R&R..
and it was the hardest thing that I have
ever gone through.. ever..
but with the Lord's strength, I was able
to get through it.. I FULLY depended on
Him and it was so comforting how much
I felt His presence through the whole thing.
We had a memorial service here for her,
which I spoke at.. and I am usually
a quiet, shy person.. so for me to be able
to do something like that.. it was ALL Him.

I hope to meet new people, and make new friends..
I don't really have any.
I mean, I do back home.. but here,
it's hard. Now that Ashley is gone, I
don't have anybody.. I do have guy friends
(I am the only female in my shop)
but they aren't Christians, and for
appearance wise, etc.. I keep theat
distant and I am just very careful.

Ever since I have become a Christian,
all I want to do is talk about God..
and the bible..lol so i am excited for
my chance to do it on this message board,
and actually get some response back..

Here, everyone just looks at like I'm
crazy and like they don't care..
hopefully with prayer, they will
come around.

Okay, well this is long enough but thanks for reading :)

Welcome to CF Kimberly. May the Lord keep you safe and fill you with divine knowledge and wisdom 🙏
I'm glad you found CF . It's the best Christian online forum in my opinion. Incredible amounts of biblical knowledge here. I hope you will learn much from the stalwarts here. God bless you 🙏✝️
