I Can NOT Be Killed.

My body can be killed, but "I" can NOT be killed.

Why not?

Because I am not my body.

"I" am not my liver, kidneys. arms, legs, feet or fingers.

I am not my brain. My brain is nothing more than a flesh
and blood computer than makes it possible for "I" to interact
with my surroundings.

My arms, legs, feet, fingers, and brain will one day die, but "I"
will live on and on forever.

"Jesus said . . . the one who believes in Me will live, even though
they die, and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die."
John 11:25-26

"My sheep listen to My voice. I know them and they follow Me.
I give then eternal life and they shall never perish."
__The Lord Jesus John 10:27-28

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

So?

So those two fierce killer generals, General Time and General Death,
can never kill me.

Because . . .

"I" can NOT be killed.

Thoughts?

Amen to that.
Isn't amazing though, that so many blame their skin and bones for sin in themselves?

Dangerous theology - bordering on gnosticism.

1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are not whole without the body soul and spirit all being together. That is part of the reason the body must be resurrected at the final judgement. The whole man has to stand judgement.

Dangerous not.
Rather 100% totally safe.
To NOT hold to the OP is very dangerous (to the soul)

Who cares if we are "whole"?
The important part can't be killed.

It is written..."And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matt 10:28)

God. That is why He resurrects the body and puts us back together at the final judgement.

News flash: God considers your body just as important as your soul and spirit. After all, which did He make FIRST?

Genesis 2:7
Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground,
[the body] and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; [the spirit, Heb: ruach] and man became a living being. [Heb: nefesh - soul]

God made the body first - it is important. The idea that it is not comes from pagan Greek dualism which is the foundation of gnosticism.

Your scripture verse lends support to my point: God puts both soul and body TOGETHER into the final judgement.

Tempting to say something here but I will wait for involved parties to have their say :popcorn :coke

even Jesus Must be believed to have a ressurected body in order not to be a Gnostic .
Believing in HIS body being resurrected is a requirement of salvation.

Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

God. That is why He resurrects the body and puts us back together at the final judgement.
And all this time I was waiting for the glorified body that Paul mentioned in Phil 3:21..."Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

Don't turn your skin and bones into an idol.
It is written..."It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63)

If you want to glorify your flesh and bones, glorify them as the home of the Holy Ghost, which is given to the repentant.

For the saved, that transformation (which is still the same body even as HIS was the same body) will happen at His return.

The "flesh" there refers to the fallen sinful nature, not the physical body.

Since Adam and Eve were the first humans and the method of creation was was different from normal , their spirit entering the body could have came after their body was created with the Breath of God . After this I think we are told which comes first with this verse . We are known to God before conception .
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

If you want to glorify your flesh and bones, glorify them as the home of the Holy Ghost, which is given to the repentant.
This gives me something to ponder :chin , where does the Holy Ghost reside inside us ?

When you are dealing with the spirit realm in reference to our physical world, I am not sure "inside" or "outside" have any real meaning.
