These people are bowing down before a graven image in homage with their hands raised as well as held together in prayer.
Bowing is not worship.

We dont pray to graven images.
We don't pray to graven images either. We pray to the person represented by the image.

We pray to God, only.
If that's what you want to do then OK. It's your loss not to avail yourself of the righteous in heaven whose prayers are "powerful and effective” (Jas 5:16).
If you want to understands the scriptural basis for Praying to Mary and then Saints in heaven:-

Praying to the Saints in Heaven

We worship God only.

JLB

As we do.

And another reminder - the topic is Mary - Queen of Heaven.

JLB and jaybo

The topic of this thread is Understandig Mary - Queen of Heaven
So far no-one seems to be prepared to address the points in the OP.
Unless some better attempt is made to keep to the topic I will close this thread.

And for the 4th time
It is not wrong to honour the true Queen of Heaven just because some people in the past worshipped a false queen of heaven; just as it is not wrong the worship the one true God just because some people in the past worshipped false gods.

And as I pointed out before
I made six numbered points in the OP and you have not addressed any of them.

Please quote from scripture where Jesus instructed use to do only what is exactly specified in scripture.

Please show us in Scripture where Mary is called the queen of heaven. (It's not in Revelation 12 or anywhere else that I know of).

Once you deny Scripture as the source of God's truth you open up Christianity to all kinds of false teaching. That is precisely what the RCC has done.

Please close it then. It is based on a false, unScriptural premise. Or change it to something like "Understanding Joseph -- King of Heaven".

I've shown you in the OP and other posts that she is Queen of Heaven.
You have not refuted my points. You haven't even addressed most of them.

I do not deny scripture as a source of God's truth. But I deny it is the only source of God's truth.
Sola Scriptura is unbiblical. But that is another discussion.
The Catholic Church (not RCC - see Catholic Church (CC) vs Roman Catholic Church (RCC))does not teach falsely. But again that is another discussion.

It is based on scriptural premises. The fact that you have failed to address them shows the falsity of your claim.

Typical RCC answer. Jesus said "Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 It doesn't say through Mary or anyone else. The fact that you have failed to accept this shows the falsity of your claims.

As usual, totally off topic because you can't refute to the OP.

I don't know what "refute to" means. Mary is not the Queen of heaven! There is nothing in the Bible that says she is.

I can create a thread about understanding John the Baptizer was/is a horse. So what? Your premise is false, contradictory to the truth of Scripture.

The OP shows that she is. And it is scriptural.
If you think my points are wrong then address them and show me how they are wrong.
All you keep saying is Mary is not the Queen of Heaven.

BTW in post #49 you quote John 14:6. Here is a suggestion. In the Catholicism forum there is a sub forum - But The Bible Teaches... which is made for this kind of issue.
Start a thread in that forum, give the quote and then show how a teaching of the Catholic Church contradicts that scripture.
I'll look out for it.

It doesn't matter what the OP says. Are you infallible?

I'm not interested in any Catholic subforum. I'm only interested in the truth.

No more than you are. But at least I base my arguments on scripture rather than just give my opinions.

I'm not interested in any Catholic subforum. I'm only interested in the truth.

Then post the truth in the appropriate sub forum. If you can't do that then we all know you have no basis for your claims - they are just your opinions.

You are deluded!

It is not wrong to honour the true Queen of Heaven

Honoring the queen of heaven is idolatry in scripture, and has disastrous consequences.

Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you. Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.
Jeremiah 7:16-18

If one chooses to ignore scripture for his own man made dogma, then I suppose one could justify, just about anything.

I have asked you several times to provide scripture whereby we are taught to honor or pray or bow down on our knees to a statue that is called the queen of heaven.
