If anything maybe he was taking advantage and using his status to get what he wanted? But he did say when your rich and famous they allow you to do it. If that is true or not is irrelevant, what is relevant is that he said they allowed it, and that means consent.

It's pathetic to think Biden had done anything but drive this country further in debt so the 1% can charge their electric car while going on a crusade attack against those who still buy incandescent light bulbs, trying to ban gas cars, gas stoves.

I had a nice chuckle when I read that. I'm guessing you'd be more comfortable with a fire pit in your back yard, because that's how they used to cook meals. Does your home have indoor plumbing or do you do your pooh in the back yard also? I mean, that's the way they used to do it. Ahhh, to live in the good old days of Elizabethan England.

I'm curious. On your meter of 'I want to live like we used to live', what decade, since Adam was created, are you referring to? Do you wish the world had just stopped in 1925? Or 1950? I must say, after quite a lot of use, I do find the LED bulbs to be great. I mean, you don't have to keep a dozen bulbs in the laundry closet for replacements. And their light is adjustable. Cool!

I put in some LED cans in my bathroom shower and you can set if for bright daylight, or a more 'blue' clinical light, or a duller soft light. They really are great lights and I find them at a pretty good price at my Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store pretty regularly. I mean $1/bulb and it will outlast 10 incandescent bulbs/75¢ea.

And you really should get off of that 'Biden drove us further in debt'. While that is a true statement, it just as equally applies to every President for the last 100 years. Pretty much every president has 'drove us further in debt'.

You failed to see the point of my post here. Biden spent taxpayers money to go after after 1% who still buys incandescent bulbs that's not available in most stores. What was the point of that other than to get revenge against those MAGA people?

Furthermore it was the Obama administration who went and told Americans to buy CFL light bulbs. It wasn't LEDs. It was the government that replaced paper bags with plastic bags. Now they want to do the same with gas vehicles and gas stoves.

Nobody forced you to buy a gas vehicle, cellphone or computer. Nobody forced you to buy an air conditioner or any other products but here we have a government p*** away taxpayer money to go off on the 1% who still buys and uses incandescent bulbs. I don't care if people use them still. It isn't the point the fact is, it's a blatant waste of taxpayer money. So I'm going to critize the Biden administration and even the Obama administration for wasting taxpayer money.

The amount of foolishness here is pathetic. Wasting more taxpayer money on charging stations that the 1% uses. Then complain when the Republican party tries to curb the wasted spending and complain about the fact you can't waste that money.

On a side note I bought CFL bulbs I still use. I never bought any incandescent bulbs other than flashlight ones, besides my car. Wasting taxpayer money to try and manipulate the market to favor new technology shows the government has power and control issues along with greed. That has to stop and they got a stern warning but can't curb their wasteful spending still so the warnings will continue to get worse and worse because you can't keep wasting money like that.

You got $1000 monthly spending but the Biden administration spends $4000 instead.

You really don't understand how this process works, do you? No, it wasn't because Pres. Biden got a huge infrastructure bill passed that 'almost got us into a default'. Despite the fact they continue to overspend leading them to need money to fix the roads and bridges. Now I'm paying 35% more in property taxes because this state can't stop the spending sprees.

You argue about people wanting to stay living in the 1950s yet don't understand the value of living within your means or appreciating you have. Keep buying new stuff to make you feel happy but it's meaningless. I never bought a tablet/iPad and glad I was never forced to buy one but again we failed to budget for road and bridge repairs and yet we're spending all kinds of money to manipulate American product buying.

That's what they did here with smoking. Progressive taxes. It worked in one way that some gave up because it's too expensive, and that was the excuse for the taxes to discourage because of the cost, on the other hand it made many more broke and miserable who choose to smoke at there free choice and legally, and crimes increased significantly with the amount of robberies.

What is ridiculous is they banned the sale to anyone born on or after January 1, 2009. So that means in the future for example a 60yo adult would be asked for ID and could be told they are underage. Lol. Meanwhile someone born before them is legal.

Look at how well the war on drugs worked out. You got a new zombie drug out where people rot from the inside out. We had this commercial in the 80s or early 90s with this guy cooking an egg illustrating our brain on drugs is when you got the burner running. It does convince some of us but won't convince everyone. Yeah progressive taxes hasn't worked out well here in Illinois for cigarettes as they're going past state lines to get them.

As for businesses, well they could have simply stopped selling them. But even then you end up buying them on the black market which gets dangerous.

The politicians see the progressive taxes as a way to get people off whatever they don't want people to buy.

I seen that, bed rotting. Thats next level from just staying at home playing video games or whatever which I used to do. But this again shows we have serious problems in this country that hasn't gotten resolved. Inflation, political nightmare/corruption, it's just that when you got politicians like Biden, Trump, Bush and Obama people are going to be depressed, angry and irritable.

America has been going in the wrong direction since 9/11. Its no longer the same country I was born in and it's more evil and controlling now. We continue in the same direction its going to be a dystopia nightmare and we're already slaves to taxes and consumerism. People are controlled by what they buy what businesses they shop from and we wonder why drugs are out of control, and other stuff like "bed rotting" is trending with the younger generation.

They don't want to work either which is causing part of our Inflation. Not enough help and I mentioned how high materials we need to produce parts, we can't make parts because the suppliers don't have anyone that wants to work and other businesses has to raise costs to pay more for people. In the coming years to follow as more people retire its going to fall like a house of cards.

This administration could be saving money and making more by focusing on getting Americans to work again but instead they're focusing on banning stuff.
