Looking for a lost song

This might be a long shot but I'm trying to find a song for my dad. He plays what he can by memory but he can't recall all the words. He heard it when he was in bible school in the 90s if that can give an idea when it may have come out. The lyrics that he can recall are:

First verse: "I love you Jesus in the night."

Chorus: "I love you when troubles come, and when things don't go my way. In the day, I love you for what you've done, I love you just for you. I love you as you first loved me, and you're coming back again."


If anyone is familiar with this song or has an idea how I might be able to find it, I'd very much appreciate the help. Googling the lyrics and asking elsewhere haven't brought up anything.
