Protestant countries are richer and less safe, Orthodox countries are safer but less rich: discuss

my grandchild can drive a side by side down town and courtesy is given. she couldn't do that in my hometown ,she would be ran off the road . cops would penalize her .
In Greece if a taxi stops to pick you up it will pull over to your side of the road and traffic will patiently stop to let you get in no problem.

you have that in cities ,taxis are gone in my town because of Uber and Lyft.

they can be called come to you and don't charge like a taxi .

we gave airport shuttles . I don't miss taxis used them last in fort Knox . shady business not that Uber or Lyft aren't at times but I can decide another driver ,taxis had franchise areas only they served Uber and Lyft didn't .

also if you have to use a taxis in a city it's often because the city has a large majority who can't ,don't know how or can afford to drive .

nyc ,la ,seattle and other cities have those .I understand why but the area I posted about you can live like that and you unlike those cities leave your home unlocked .police aren't seen and don't patrol .it's that safe ,few homeless are seen .

my hometown isn't as bad as NYC or Miami but I can't do that .

I saw Thomas county sheriff yesterday on his beat first in three days . WIP farm country .

that water tower is easily walkable for me . yes it's poor . they added another larger tower but those old buildings date to the civil war and sadly can't be rehabbed because of property division and lake of sewer but the families that own them can't raze them because of the history value to them.

brick etc will last . just not that wood .they had power .I can see old meter cans . I haven't explored and dated the utilities yet.i spotted a pre WW2 spur station with signage . probably open to the 60s . before Murphy took it over .
