I really love this song.
If you're a fan of Daft Punk, you'll enjoy this.

No. I used to be.
I used to be heavily involved in the punk culture, but it turned me away from God,
so I gave it up.

I see; I think maybe this may have been also when you got some tatts which you now don't like, and that you've changed, right. Do you like to listen to Christian hard rock? Disciple, Skillet, Red?

Blessings.

Yes, I got two tattoos covered with a sleeve.
Hmm... Some of my old favorite Christian Rock was Demon Hunter, and Norma Jean. Red. As I lay Dying. MXPX. Ninety Pound Wuss. Umm... those are the only ones I can remember.

I just don't care for the culture anymore. I still enjoy tattoo's and piercings. They make me feel beautiful to be honest. Next year I am going to save for another one.

Hmm...I've not heard of some of those bands...

(Though from what you say maybe I've not missed too much..)

Blessings.

Well... Demon Hunter, Norma Jean, and As I Lay Dying, are metal. Red is Rock. And MXPX and 90 Pound Wuss are punk.

I mean, they're good bands and all that, I just don't care for the culture in itself, because it lead me to drug and alcohol use.

I know it's odd that I could be against the "culture" and still have tattoo's and piercings... but you know, it is really more of an artistic thing. I don't dress punk or goth, I'm very careful about who I am friends with, and I don't do drugs or drink alcohol anymore. Haven't in many years.

Angel: Well, I don't think it's odd if you like nice things, including those, but completely avoid the destructive and abusive aspects of culture that you don't follow.

Blessings.

PS: Angel: So do you still think that there is potential for punk rock to be adapted to Christian bands?

Blessings.

I'm sure it can be done/has been done.

I suppose.

It just reminds me of a time I turned away from God.

Well, sounds like you and we all need to look up and forward, right? 'Looking unto Jesus...' (Hebrews 12)

Blessings.

I like these verses:

Phil 3:12-16

12 Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me andmade me His own.

13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

15 So let those [of us] who are spiritually mature and full-grown have this mind and hold these convictions; and if in any respect you have a different attitude of mind, God will make that clear to you also.

16 Only let us hold true to what we have already attained and walk and order our lives by that.

I was thinking about these verses only a few hours ago, and then you quoted them, Angel.

Seems like the Lord is saying something to both of us.

Blessings.

PS: Angel: I don't think there is any contradiction between artistically aware and aesthetically appreciative about tattoos, piercings, etc. but seeking also to be spiritually minded with an inward and spiritual emphasis.

Blessings.
