Are any of you guys having this movie at your church? Our showing is tomorrow night.... I don't think there is a seat left... even in the overflow.

I haven't heard of it until now. It looks interesting though.

Here's a site showing all the places the movie started showing at 2:00 PM today. I think you have to click the large blue button.
This has really been a huge thing throughout the country.

https://holyghostpremiere.com/

Zoom in on the map. The number of churches showing it will amaze you.

It must be a movie only made for Churches. It is not out in theatres.

Exactly. This is a Christian movie, made by ONLY Christians, and paid for by just Christians. I think our church sent $1,000.

That is cool.
As I understand, though, in some areas where there aren't any churches large enough to accommodate the members from 10 or 15 different churches (whatever the number), they ARE using some theaters.

Check out the map.

On the site you posted it says that one can stream it in their home as well. In the comments section people said they had and others said they were not able to get it to stream. I signed up and tried to stream it and it said 'Server not found'. :shrug It's streaming on this site until 5pm PDT, Monday nite, Sept 8th.

wow, that looks good! I recognize those two guys from Korn, and Todd White

A movie led by the Holy Spirit with regard to filming...cool

Due to the typical traditional reactions to another thread here, I think I have to qualify my recommendation for this film.

There are several members here who definitely SHOULD NOT watch this movie. The principles have long hair, strange clothes, tattoos, and even (in one case), makeup. So, for your own stability, please forget you ever heard about this movie.

Others of you might enjoy it....................... it's really pretty tame and mild.

Didn't Jesus have long hair too? And hang out with those type of guys? It's the sick that need a physician, not the righteous. ;)

I watched it, it was ok. The Holy Spirit is alive and well and on the job in todays world. Brian Welch is proof of that.

Yeah, but I think you already know that you are one of the pretty special rare people among the usual "church crowd".

Those "typical traditional reactions" is what keeps this site clean and safe.

I think not. I watched the trailer and this divorce between the Holy Spirit, at the least, smells rotten. Jesus, the Son of God, God, the Father and the Holy Spirit are the three person of one God and the Word, the Bible, is the word of God, the word of the Holy Spirit. That makes the Word, again, the Bible, the written word of the Holy Spirit.

I make this to be a short sighted heresy that ignores the Bible's context. There is a portion of one scripture, Malachi 3:6a, that declares God never changes. Of course this makes perfect sense because God is omnipotent, omniscient, ever present... perfect, why would eternal perfection change? Except the LORD convinces me I need to use it as a tool in my tool chest, I'll opt not to see it.

Do you really understand what you are saying?

Bill,
Do you actually mean that you don't think there has been a separating of the Spirit and The Word in most churches? Really? We see it right here on this forum... people saying either that they go by the word, alone, because "that spirit stuff" is new age or something............ Or, people saying they sit and wait for the Spirit to tell them the truth, rather than study the word.

Apparently not.

Perhaps you could explain.

It sure sounded like you believe in keeping your church clean, and free of "those people" who don't act, talk, or dress right to come there to worship beside you.
