  • I enlisted in 1986 and my contract ended in 1992. The corps was reduced from 210k to 150k reenlistment was not an option for grunts. I Reenlisted in 1994 via reserves and then Got out for good in 1995. My final rank on active was E-5 sergent, reserves was E-6 staff sergent. My brother has been in the corps for 20+ years now.
Grand son has found a few... I am so proud of hm.. We should pray for a ll the GIs and with the way things are heating up ...well way to often it seems a war fixes the economy
I was really thinking of USMC Christians so that makes" brothers" OK

How do I go about this, with a friend? Do I tell her how I feel or do I go for a more oblique attack?

We all end up there sooner or later. I find it ironic that we always think of love in such rosy terms. Love can be good, but it can also be like a millstone dragging you down to desolation.

btw, I am kind of a hypocrite, because in my personal life I am more protective of my female friends than I am of my male friends. Then again, I am protective of my effeminate gay friends, so maybe it is femininity that tugs at my heart strings.

I suppose that makes the Republicans equal to the USSR through the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Also, all those wars/proxy wars during the Cold War (e.g. Korea, Vietnam, Nicaragua, Iran etc.) were actually... oh no!... furthering the strength of the Soviet Union. :p

My morals do not stop at state borders. If a girl is getting her genitals mutilated in the Sudan, it is every bit as evil as if a mother mutilated her daughter's genitals in the U.S.

You do realise it was the Moderate Party [moderata samlingspartiet] (i.e. the centre-right), which approved the bill to cut off emergency care for illegal immigrants unless they paid the cost. The Social Democrats [socialdemokratiska arbetareparti] (i.e. the centre-left), voted against the proposal.
