10 things that drive me up the wall

Shop assistants having a long chat to a customer while I am waiting to be served. But I mean the topic is their weekend or their hobby or their kids or their grandkids or the state of the nation.

i live in a red state, "Bible Belt" USA. I get a bit upset when I see an individual who is probably hovering around the poverty level, based on the vehicle, with angry, anti-poor people bumper stickers (one I saw recently read: "work hard. people on welfare need your money! or something like that...), along with all these stickers for big guns, "Assault Life" stickers, that kind of thing. ugh. -angry masses-

and then...getting cut off or other roadway rudeness from people driving vehicles with the Jesus fish on the car, a megachurch sticker, or sometimes "Jesus is my co-pilot." ugh.

People who complain all the time. Just drives me insane.
And I'm a pretty sane person actually.

Oh, you complain entirely too much.
Get out that Bible of yours . Right now.
Read, reflect and repent. The 3 Rs. Have mershy on your shoal. Avoid the lake of fire, bring some ice packs would be a good idea.

I did that and the Bible was telling me hese stories in the OT where the Israelites were complaining a lot and it made God angry pretty much. Then in the NT Paul makes it a point that we are to rejoice even when tough trials face us. They would beat the crap out of Paul, and he would get up rejoicing that he was found worthy enough to suffer for the Lord.

When they were in jail, they would sit around singing hymns and psalms to God. It's that kind of stuff that makes me and yours problems sound fairly easy going. So I think that if you ponder it for moment that you will realize that...you have a lot to be thankful for. (Me too!). Things could be a lot worse than they are.

It's all in one's perspective. Instead of, woe is me, I'm living in poverty and my country is crumbling...I say, In the midst of poverty, I grow rich in the word of God. He has graciously provided me with a roof, a bed, a Bible and a whole lot of time for reading and praying.

I think there's a lot of security in poverty, lol.

Life is 10% what it deals you in the cards, and 90% how you react to it...

:wink

I used to have a fish on one of my cars..
Had to take it off because I had to change my driving habits...
