Republicans only in a sense of being on the right wing. As the police started rounding up the perps, they've been almost entirely right-wing white supremacists, who were trying to incite rioting and looting to disrupt protests. So they got Proud Boys, Boogaloo Boise, KKK members, but I don't know that they got any registered republicans, other than the Capitol insurrectionists.

BLM was trying to stop violence, even to the point of turning in rioters to the police. No BLM members were arrested, but police got people associated with Antifa (which doesn't actually have an organization, so no formal members). The left wasn't entirely innocent in all this.
Oh, I'm aware. I waS responding that riots and looting also happened in republican cities as well. Large scale protests are always a powder keg.

A true liberal in my opinion is someone who believes they are there own private property and no other human being has the authority to force them against there own will to do something they dont want to do unless they agree and consent to it.

There is a diference between forcing someone to do something against there will and not forcing someone. I mean take abortion for example, even i disagree with the practice, no one is forced against there will to have an abortion when its legal, or say for example gays who want to marry, no one is forced to turn gay and marry or recieve a penalty.

Mandatory put this covering on your face or recieve a penalty for example, well thats another story.

Aside from politics, what is a liberal.
Without putting labels on people and policies, what is a liberal?

"willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas."

I don't think anyone on this forum is very much a liberal.
Aside from our Christianity, we all just believe and do and live however we want.

I'll tell you this, anyone who thinks they are right all the time are certainly not a liberal.

If being a liberal is a good thing, then how did all the evil ones get a hold of it and call themselves liberal?

I can't read 6 pages, so someone has probably already answered this but from my understanding a liberal is someone who believes all humans are basically good and therefore we can be liberal in terms of laws, economics, etc. (Liber means "free, freedom" like in liberation, liberty.)
And the fault/flaw with this is that humans are not all good (as the bible also says).

No backing off of anything.

BLM burned and looted cities while police watched. This took place in cities controlled by Democrats.

In Democrat controlled cities, and primarily in black communities

In my home country you dont need a licence or be registered to own a boat and be on the water. So i mean its a natural right of freedom, not many left these days. Most country's people need a licence and a registered vessel. I can freely own a boat and motor around with no licence.
The US needs to take our money anyway they can
It's not logical to have an entire country owning $400,000 homes

Dictionary definitions of "conservative" and "liberal" say that conservatives try to maintain the status quo, or move back to an earlier status quo; while liberals try and change the status quo in some way.
