    Yes it is fake. I first emboss the paper bag to create the texture. I have an embossing plate that looks like crocodile or snake. Then I take brown ink and rub it all over the paper. The final step is putting a coat of glossy thick white glue on top. When it dries it looks like leather.

    I used an old book and covered it with the paper bag after I finished the process of making it look like leather. I gutted out most of the pages of the book. The pages that I left in the book I covered with pretty scrapbook paper and then put family pictures and embellishments inside.

    Here are some things I made. The scrapbook is supposed to look like leather it is made from a brown paper bag. I made all of the embellishments on the scrapbook except the metal key. The roses are made out of coffee filters.
