Judgement of people who never heard Gospel

I think that's a bit of a far fetch. The reason is more likely that with the arrival of the gospel among the gentiles of Graeco-Roman civilisation there began a trend of not engaging in infanticide, which was a common practice among Greeks and Romans. One of the reasons Christianity spread so...

We're part of Australasia - which i'm not sure if that's a continent or just general region...

What kind of Bible do you use?"

I really enjoy reading the Message for fun, certainly not for study. I use either the TNIV or the NRSV for study (which is currently a Master of Theology). Wouldn't touch the KJV with a barge-pole...but that's a conversation for another thread.

    what makes australia great

You might be right. Poisonous spiders, poisonous snakes, arid desert, the blowflys at Perth, the mugginess of Brisbane, the fact that Darwin seems to be 36 degrees and thunderstorms all year round, all in a country the size of Europe with only 1/8th of it inhabitable - all that does sound more...

What's the eschatology make-up on the forum?

    What makes America great?

See, i'm afraid this is the reason that America has such bad press in the majority of the Western world... "It is hard to be a disciple and be rich...The gospel becomes a formula for 'giving our lives meaning' without judgement...This is a particular problem in America, where Christians cannot...

    Jesus' Exclusivism

ivdavid - The distinction is a subtle one for sure. I think it challenges our assumptions of what it means to 'come through Jesus' to get to the Father. Do we have to explicitly call upon him by name? I think we are simply stepping outside our authority when we begin asking questions of who is...

    What are you reading?

I'm currently enjoying a bit of Stanley Hauerwas - especially his stuff on the church. Alongside him i'm reading Jurgen Moltmann's "Crucified God". I've just purchased and can't wait to read Miroslav Volf's "Exclusion and Embrace" which offers a unique take on reconciliation and restoration...

    Jesus' Exclusivism

Hi there! This is my first post on this but i've had some experience on various other ones. Your question is an interesting one as it assumes that Jesus' statement is necessarily exclusive. It has often been interpreted this way but could we also read it as an inclusive sense? When Jesus says...
