see the thread on suicide, cutting and hope in the ct&a. while I am not a victim of that, I have been sexually assaulted and I have been to war"hell" and thus I can say that the lord will deal with the sinner who does this evil. rest assured. if he were to come today many would be lost.
 
I pray over this thread, and for the victims and families, and for everyone. We need to pray and stay close to our Lord Jesus. :praying

I'ts a bit off topic, but I really have a hard time believing that. How do they get in here unnoticed?

Sounds like certain people need that to be true to get funding for their jobs and departments to me.

To work independently of us, no matter how heroically, would violate our free will, which He apparently won't do under ANY circumstances, at least not now.

well we cant control our borders. what makes you think we don't have these coming into America? I do., all soldiers are to be briefed on this as ordered by the potus(bush and its still stands) prior to war. that link has the sources.

in Colombia and the me children are bought and sold.

It sickens me to hear stories like this, but I never doubt that man is capable of this kind of evil, and history is filled with evidence. I really think that we all have the capacity for monstrous evil as well as great compassion. We need Christ in our lives to keep the evil in our nature from becoming behavior like this. I've heard it said "Human nature is what we are put on earth of overcome, and Christ is how we overcome it."

Well they aren't being FLOWN in here, that's for sure.

And we CAN control our borders, we have the technology - "we" refuse to control our borders.


I just find it hard to believe THAT number is here and we don't see or detect or suspect it.
I sure didn't/don't.

I Know what places like Cambodia are like, where children are sold (or at least rented by the hour), my son in the Navy has seen it.
That experience, along with others he's had since in the Navy, has opened his eyes to what poverty and suffering really are.
 
I think we don't want to because of money made by the adult entertainment and others that do it.
 
off topic so we should use biometrics on americans. meaning that we have dna samples, retina scan and finger prints without respect if the person is a criminal?

Well said, I also sent this to email friend..temptation and sin are not the same. Temptation is a test of faith only. Temptation starts in your mind and your heart and flesh take action. James 1:13-15 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,†for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. What he's saying here is that temptation does not bring death, only the action of sin does. That's why Christians are taught to deny our flesh and walk in the spirit, the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:16-17 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

I was married to a sociopath for about 6 months. I left her 7 weeks after the wedding.
When I read this doctor's words, chills run up my spine. My wife was violent, but not (yet?) to the point of hurting herself or anyone else.
But she IS a sociopath. Just like Castro. And like Castro, (in her case) it was her father (and to a less extent, by her weak non-response, her mother) who inflicted permanent damage on my wife.
She suffers from delusions, obsessions, and fears. But most of all, she has no empathy for others. And she can't stop her behaviors (which I will not go into on this forum, but were enough to drive me away from a woman I really DID love).

Think, as you read this paper, of the awesome responsibility you have as a parent.
 
I wish to make one more point.

The outstanding thing I take from this case, and this discussion, is this: I always assume that, after about a day or so, any kid who disappears is dead.

But now I have to face something: Fact is, Jason is right. There may be COUNTLESS pre-teens and teens and young people kept in captivity like these women were.
And it could be going on right under our noses.

It is a chilling thought.
 
hmm I often worry that Nathan and jaci will have some of my issues and pray that they wont. that I can be more to them then my dad was to me
 
most indeed.but what can we really do about it. its kinda depressing as we are powerless since we cant tell till we see it. we could avoid the sins of prostitution and the adult clubs and porn. that is a good place to start but since we are Christians we should be doing this already

I STILL wonder about his family, mostly his brothers - they really did not know? They never went into that house in ten years?
He had the 6 year old girl out in public and called her is grand daughter and no family member figured it out?
