11/11/11 Deception - The Meaning Behind the Phenomenon

"As we approach November 11, 2011 or 11/11/11, it seemed appropriate to address the long running phenomenon of people who seem to see the 11:11, the number 11 or multiples of 11 (22, 33, 44, etc.) and feel that something supernatural is taking place. For years, there are literally thousands of websites and videos devoted to this phenomenon and its greater meaning. Many people believe that on the date of 11/11/11 there will be a great “Spiritual Awakening†in which people who have been “called†by this number will all of the people who have been “called†by this number will enter into a new age of enlightenment. Some believe that it will dawn a New Age of existence in which humans will interact with the spirit realm. This article will detail the various ideas and beliefs in this movement and show that in the Bible as well as the occult, the number 11 has a very sinister meaning. The 11/11/11 phenomenon is yet another spiritual deception that seduces humanity with the idea of becoming “gods.â€

A friend of mine called me about this 11:11 phenomenon some months ago. What was strange was that prior to her calling me I had looked at the clock and saw 11:11 or some number on the clock followed by 11 and thought it was strange. Although I don't put much stock into these pehomenon (they don't affect my beliefs or anything) I know many do, espeically new agers. I have always believed that the enemy creates these coincidences to begin to set people up for a much larger deception....so I don't doubt that people are seeing these numbers much more than usually.

Here's an excerpt from a website that explains the 11:11 phenomenon....in new age terms of course.

How often have you noticed the numbers 11:11, 12:12, 10:10, 22:22, 12:34, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 or 5:55 popping up all over the place? These number sequences are not necessarily only time prompts. They can also be number sequences, like 333, 1111 etc. To your mind, is this a coincidence, or are they too frequent to be random? Perhaps you are puzzled or amused by this phenomenon? I think God used the significance of numbers through out His Word. The number 11 accents judgment and disorder. Indeed, when the apostles were 11, they quickly selected another to get back to the number of 12, which is perfection in government. :shrug
 
Well, to bump the thread up a tad, we have only 3 days left to find out. In the case of my August thread about Jeroboam's Halloween, that is on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Hebrew calendar this year which is the Gregorian date 11/12/11. However, the day begins at sundown which is the evening of 11/11/11 on the Gregorian calendar. In a similar manner, Halloween night (Oct 31) is really November 1 on the Hebrew calendar (bet you did not know the graveyard spooks in those scary stories came out on Halloween Nov 1st did you? All these years you thought it was the night before :lol)
 
11/11/11 has occurred every hundred years since the year 1,111. Nothing more nothing less as it will happen again in another one hundred years just as 12/12/2012 will surely follow unless Christ comes back first. People like to get others hyped up on these things and for the most part is foolishness and has nothing to do with God or his word.

:thumbsup I was going to say, nothing happened on 01/01/01, 02/02/02 and up to 10/10/10, and nothing will happen on 11/11/11 or 12/12/12.
 
I'm not saying anything is going to happen necessarily. I was merely pointing out that 11/11/11 is Jeroboam's Halloween, so you both missed the lunar factor. So, no. 11/11/11 does not happen every 100 years on 8/15 of the Hebrew calendar.

Rather than the date making the event, I propose there are those perceptive enough to make the event happen on the date is probably more like it. I'm especially watching cult-like groups.
