Well Praise God! It says He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, meaning believers of all ages from youngest to oldest, so maybe the Lord is in the process of raising up a new class of young people now. Who knows. :thumb

Hi Christian Saboteur

As an important influence in the child's life, I would certainly encourage that you encourage him in his knowledge of God, but 5 is a bit young to understand what it's really all about. But as he grows, if someone in his life continues to teach and to train him up in the way that he should go, I trust God's word that the child will not depart from it when he is older and able to make such a decision. And of course, believers should always pray for their loved ones to come to the truth of God. It is, I believe, the greatest responsibility that God gives godly parents.

To talk about the things of God as they journey on the roadways. To write them on their doorposts. To speak of them when they rise up and when they lie down. That was the command that God gave unto His people Israel, and I believe it is a practice that should carry over to His children that come to Him through His new covenant.

God bless,
Ted

Christian Saboteur that is so awesome that at such a young age he has the simplicity of what God's salvation is all about given to him by the Holy Spirit. I pray for his brother and sister that they also will receive Jesus. I'm sure you are one proud Papa.
