Bible Study 71 Days in Isaiah

DON'T FORGET THAT DAY AFTER TOMORROW WE WILL START WITH CHAPTER ONE OF DEUTERONOMY.

Day 70 God is not willing that anyone perish. Israel is so stuck in "their own devices" they cannot see the outstretched hands of Yahweh. There is so much Grace to be given to a people who will love and follow Yahweh, that He turns away from Israel, and says to the Gentile Nations, "here AM I.

In so many ways, Gentiles rejoice over Israel being so "stiff-necked" that they lost sight of God's purpose for them.

God desire's fellowship from His creation. The humble of heart, are able to look upon the goodness of God, and receive His Grace willingly.

Everything changes in the New Heaven and Earth. No more rejection of the Almighty, only love and adoration!

I long for the day when ALL people will adore God the Father and pay to Him the awe and respect that He is deserving of. I hate the thought of anyone who dislikes this Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth for our pleasure. I hate the thought of someone spitting in the face of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. I hate the thought of how many times I grieved God the Holy Spirit....I long for the tender embrace of Jesus when I finally go home. I long for the event whereby Jesus the Christ comes to the earth to slay all those who hated, beat him, and hung Him on a Cross, the end has finally arrived, and KING JESUS will be worshiped forever, and God causes His Throne to be with us. GLORY, PRAISE, & HONOR!!!

Haven't forgotten, looking forward to it, I think....Deut. is kinda' scary to me. But maybe this time I'll understand it better. :neutral

ooppss.....Day after tomorrow, we still have day 71.

I sent TOB a pm about this and have not heard.... Some kind of a format would be nice.

all i have found is Matt Henry's chapter breakdowns..

I am thinking a guide not so much of MH thoughts. Thinking of the chapter segments and being able to get a grip on the whole ... what say you all?

I was thinking that we could progress Chapter by Chapter, that is how I usually study a Book of the Bible, and how I studied Deuteronomy....Any suggestions?

Day 70 65:1-25

Isa 65:1 I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, `Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.
Isa 65:2 I have spread out My hands all the day Unto an apostate people, Who are going in the way not good after their own thoughts.
Rom 10:20 and Isaiah is very bold, and saith, `I was found by those not seeking Me; I became manifest to those not inquiring after Me;'
Rom 10:21 and unto Israel He saith, `All the day I did stretch out My hands unto a people unbelieving and gainsaying.'

Isa 65:8 Thus said Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one hath said, `Destroy it not for a blessing is in it,' So I do for My servants' sake, not to destroy the whole.
Isa 65:9 And I have brought out from Jacob a seed, And from Judah a possessor of My mount, And possess it do My chosen ones, And My servants do dwell there.
Rom 9:27 And Isaiah doth cry concerning Israel, `If the number of the sons of Israel may be as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved;
Rom 9:28 for a matter He is finishing, and is cutting short in righteousness, because a matter cut short will the Lord do upon the land.
Rom 9:29 and according as Isaiah saith before, `Except the Lord of Sabaoth did leave to us a seed, as Sodom we had become, and as Gomorrah we had been made like.'

However you decide to do it, I'm sure it will be fine. I have no suggestions.

OK, unless someone has a better suggestion, we will go thru Chapter by Chapter. I was studying Deuteronomy almost at the same time we were going thru Isaiah. There were many times I thought that it would be great if we all could do Deuteronomy, it is sooooo informative. I know we will get a rich blessing from this great Book of the Bible.

I was wondering if there was a way to invite more people to our study?

Day 71 V.2 "This is the one to whom I will look; he who is humble and contrite in spirit trembles at My Word".

The image of a mother nursing her child is what God plans to do to His people, long ago He would have done this bu the people and priests rebelled, and were unfaithful.

God will put divine judgment on the enemies of His people and bless those who who love Him and His ways.

The end of Isaiah presents a picture of God's ways being Good News to the humble and bad news to the proud and rebellious.

The great lesson that I see in the whole Book of Isaiah is, God seeks those who tremble at God's Word. Meaning that His Word is absolute LIFE to those who not only read it but puts it into their daily activities. His Word is LIFE because it is ALIVE, like food that gives strength to our bones, His Word gives strength to our spirit, heart, and mind to be able to walk in God's ways. Without God's Word, we would always be nursing infants, with no direction, and unable to walk without falling down.

Isa 65:18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
Isa 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Isa 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
Isa 66:21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Luk_12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Amen to that Reba! We did have a good time and learned valuable insight into Israel, as to how much God loves His people and wants them to walk in His ways because He has so much that He would love to bestow on Israel, and plans to use them as a lighthouse to all Nations. It is a shame that Israels leaders just couldn't get with the program of God and settled for exile from their beloved Jerusalem which brought destruction to the City of God.

Exo_4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

We are the body of the Firstborn Son

Day 70

Isa 66:7 Before she is pained she hath brought forth, Before a pang cometh to her, She hath delivered a male.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard anything like this? Who hath seen anything like these? Is earth caused to bring forth in one day? Born is a nation at once? For she hath been pained, Zion also hath borne her sons.

Gal 4:26 and the Jerusalem above is the free-woman, which is mother of us all,

Rev 12:5 and she brought forth a male child, who is about to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, and caught away was her child unto God and His throne,
