I want to take 80 days soon to go without the internet. I'll put my laptop and tablet away. I'm also going to avoid junk (sugar, caffeine, alcohol, preservatives, bottom-feeders, etc.,) while trying to get healthier and organized. I want to focus on Jesus the Messiah and his word. I want to draw closer to him through this, and I want the outcome to be extremely intimate.

I want to divide it. I want to read the bible alone for 40 days, perhaps along with life application books or sermons. I want to be drawn into the heart of God. I want God to direct my heart.

Then I want to stay in that groove, read as many of the books which I have not read yet as I can, and keep the majority of my focus still on scripture.

In the end, I want whatever happens to be by Jesus the son and the Father and for Jesus the son and the Father.

Pray God puts me into the right mindset.

Blessings in Christ Jesus. It appears you are taking Rom 12:2 and applying it to today's technology. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." I reckon I've not been persuaded in that direction since I live within six blocks of near every fast food restaurant there is, I drive a car instead of walking, and getting organized has long past been a desire I no longer worry about. I pray that you find the solace, peace, and joy offered in a renewed spiritual dedication in Jesus' name.

I want to take 80 days soon

:amen Asking the LORD to guide your every step on that. Having your steps ordered is the best blessing I can think of as you embark on a journey which could be of epic proportions. It reminds me of a movie produced so long ago that nobody (or no young body) would remember. Around the World in 80 Days! But thanks to Disney, there is a new version staring Jackie Chan (no less) and I wanna see it, now that I mention it.

Seek Him with your wholeness. With your whole mind. Seek Him with your whole mindedness. With your whole strength. With your holy strength (which is His Joy over you) and with all your might, every bit. We know that it's not by might, not by strength but it is "By My Spirit," saith the LORD. It's okay to get Him with all your getting. But, and now, the sound of this voice drops to a whipster (whisper) He is always with you and never forsakes -- you may also simply reach within your reach and not to the sky for truly the sky has been bent to touch the earth at every point it can.

:pray Blessings to you on your journey. :hug

When I went to Teen Challenge, I was w/o internet for 12 months and 19 days (yes, I counted). It was intense! But I got used to it, really I did.

I think a "media fast" could be rewarding, at least for some Christians. I'll pray that whatever you do works out for you and strengthens your walk w/ Christ.

Not sure if its still in the 80 days for you, but I am going to pray for your blessings.

As you prepare for the 80-day journey, please keep this in mind:

Moses didn't have a desktop computer.... but he did have a tablet!
