One of the female fighter pilots here is getting me into the 80's movies.. I had never seen them..
and I love them!

I have watched The Goonies, and quite a few more..

but my most favorite is Footloose :D I absolutely l-o-v-e that movie! <3

Ahhh, Footloose. I was 14 or so when it came out and I probably saw it in the theater about 7 times. I was so in :heart with Kevin Bacon. My celebrity crush is long gone but I still love that movie!

i was 12 yrs old when the Goonies came out, the mother(actress) in that movie died in 1987, Robert Davi plays a better villian in Stargate Atlantis.

Have you seen Blade Runner? If you haven't go see it now. :yes

Favorite 80's movie is "A Christmas Story". The saga of Ralphie's quest for an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass on the stock and this thing that tells time is part of each and every Christmas season at the Miller house!

Other great 80's movies:
The Burb's (I love the part where the kid takes his date to his front porch to watch his goofy neighbors!)

Aliens (a rare sequel that is even better than the original)

Ghostbusters

The Princess Bride (now wuv, twue wuv, will fawwow you forever!)

Dead Poet's Society (come on, it got Latin back into pop vernacular. How cool is that?)

The Shining (scary, scary, scary!)

And, anyone? Anyone? Buller? Buller? Buller? Ferris Buller's Day Off is such a great movie!

handy, such classics, what about sixteen candles or Robocop, terminator, tron, and the last starfighter.

The night before last, I watched pretty in pink :D Andrew McCarthy is so dreamy! Even with the 80's hair and the really weird clothes... :D

I also got the Princess Bride, I haven't seen it yet..

and A Christmas Story, that is a classic! We have watched it every single Christmas for as long as I can remember. It's tradition.

And this isn't 80's.. but last night I watched Vantage Point..has anyone seen it??

That movie is great. I didn't like the ending much but it was a really great movie. I was so into it.

I love Ferris Buller's Day Off, and only saw it a few weeks ago. Since I"m too young fo the 80's, I look back on it as a time of LOL's of bad fashion and cheesy music, and so I love Ferris Buller!
(and that teacher reminds me of a few at my school :lol).

Any fans of the 70''s disaster movies? :lol :D

better acting, i never saw the remake, why go and see that when i already know the story, i will enventually watch it on dvd, and i also heard from those who seen both the original was far better. Movies back then relied on the plot not special effects. Look at the old John Wayne movies, and even though there special effects are cheesy, the plots are good :thumb

I only saw this movie in the 80's but it is hilarious "The Party - with Peter Sellers". It might be a late 70's movie.

I love the old John Hughes movies from the 80s :) Planes, Trains and Automobiles; The Breakfast Club; Home Alone; Beethoven; Uncle Buck and many more. I don't think there is a John Hughes film that I don't like.
