You can get a 1911 in lots of calibers though. 38super, 9mm, .40, and .45 and maybe more!

I do agree with you that the 1911 is the best semi-auto pistol out there though. Which brand 1911?

I had a friend who had a REALLY nice Gold Cup some years ago.
He ended up trading it for a 44 Desert Eagle.
Nothing against the DE, but to me that was a definite step down. Concealing a full sized Desert Eagle doesnt seem to be anything Id want to try. Like hiding a toaster oven in your back pocket :lol
 
Not to mention the Desert Eagle .44mag weighs about 8lbs loaded. :screwloose
