today, my "job" was to help with a small bonfire. it was awesome! dad stayed close the whole time, which kept the stuff from neighbors to a minimum. its kinda...funny, I guess...the loudest bunch...dad doesn't seem to care for them, anyway. dude and his wife are OK, its their redneck (adult) offspring that get to him, really.

we even spent some time just chillin' around the bonfire. I'm beginning to think...this is what forgiveness and reconciliation -really- look like. Its not about Oprah moments or anything like that, especially with my dad...its about -doing- things, together, being at ease with each other, etc. and so...

I Praise God for my family and for a good day with my dad. God is good!

me, yet again. -another- good day!

parents came by my place this time. no big shakes, but...I'm keeping the place clean and...I think I'm growing up, by God's grace. I need a lot more support than people who don't deal with...errr..."it," but..whatever. The Lord has made a way where there -really- did not seem to be one, that much is clear.

we even had dinner, over at their place. I'm blessed beyond measure.

Glad to hear! Your a lucky man to have parents that love you so much.
That thing with your Dad. That shown me you have a good Dad that cares enough for you to stand his ground, even if that means you become upset with him. I think most boys go through that with their Fathers. I know I went through it with my Dad, and I experienced the other side with my son.
Bonefires are good!

yeah...I think my dad and I are closer now than we ever were before. seriously. At 34, I think I'm finally growing up. I mean...just me, being alive, is something...if not a miracle, then something -seriously- unusual...

but, you know...put aside what is behind...press forward...and: now, the drama is over, and its time to just -live-, love The Lord, be close to my family, and...grow (up), in Christ.
