I hate that my mind gets obsessive. I've been praying to God that he forgives me for the things that I'm gonna do in the future. And that he forgives me if these thoughts are mine that they're annulled and have no bearing on my eternal destiny.. they're obsessive and focused on me being damned.. I don't want the mark or the spirit of error.. Yet my mind tends to go to the dark places..I've plead to God for help. I have a lot of people who really love me and I've never appreciated them truly before this ordeal. I hate putting them in this position and worrying them. I know that Jesus has all authority and all power. I've been trying to rest in Christ..

Praying for you!

I once heard someone say, "When you are close to a victory in the Lord, it will be the hardest because Satan is angry so he will throw any obstacle in your path to make you tempted, make you doubt, and make you feel unworthy of God."

These things happen during a spiritual attack. You can keep going and do this. Christ will give you the strength (Philippians 4:13)!

Thank you for your support and your prayer.. May God bless you for your kindness..

Before anyone gets saved they are dead in sin. Once you've accepted Christ you don't have to fear damnation or what your eternal destiny is. Praise God for that! :woot2

Romans 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
( I knew someone who called that the TNT of the Bible - good way to remember where to find it - Ten; Nine and Ten)

Colossians 2:13-14
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Blot - means to mark or stain something. That's referring to the precious Blood of Jesus Christ shed for you , me, everyone on the Cross. The purpose was to cover our sins or the "ordinances" against us.

Praying for forgiveness is a good idea. Repentance is even better, but also remember we're told to worry about the troubles in one day at a time, so instead of praying for forgiveness for future sins I recommend praying for the Holy Spirit to work in you everyday. Like Ray said above - be Filled with the Spirit!

Matthew 6:34
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Ephesians 5:18-20
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Praying for you!

praying for you dear friend

one thing that helped me was to think of Christ in me - my only hope of glory/perfection - Colossians 1:27

for me this meant instead of me dealing with things in an ineffective way i thought of Christ living in me

Christ never failed - and every knee bows to Jesus all the time - Romans 14:11

i thought of it like this - i live in me and can power myself - and fail miserably

but Christ also lives in me - and He can power me and He can operate through me

so i learned to say - Jesus i'm failing here on my own power - i'm switching over to Your power - Your mind - Your ability

You operate through me and get things done

i thought of this as a power switch from ac to dc - just flipping the switch to the alternate power source - Jesus - and watching what He could do through me

i tend to leave the switch over at Jesus because He always operates perfectly successful

i'm kinda done with my own power/energy/ideas/etc - 1 John 4:4

sometimes i get "full of myself" and that usually ends up in a mess

so now i just try to decrease me and increase Jesus so that i can be full of Jesus - John 3:30

the main way i decrease me and increase Jesus is to ignore myself and focus on Jesus

i feel better when i focus on Jesus - things look better - i trust Jesus way more than i trust myself

i'm glad Jesus wants us to lean on Him rather than ourselves

continuing to pray for you dear friend
