I'll tell you what concerns me most about this health care bill. If I am mandated to buy insurance, then in order to keep it, will the provisions of it (if I get sick) will be to "follow the doctors orders" instead of the treatment I want? And if I don't follow the prescribed treatment, then the insurance company has the right to drop me. Of course if I am dropped I am in violation of the law and have to pay a fine, or maybe in the future even go to jail. You see what happened? The medical establishment effectively crammed their medical philosophy down my throat. Maybe I don't believe in doctors and maybe faith healing instead. As a Christian, it is not too far fetched to believe "I am the Lord that heals you"?
As it now stands, the "advice" they now give us such as watching your cholesterol, watching your salt, watching this that and the other thing is in severe error and in fact, makes people sicker. This, in turn, unwittingly causes a reliance on more medical, more drugs and more government intervention which the ultimate goal apparently is to make money instead of really caring for people.
And then they want to force that on me? Anything I hate is being dragged along with the masses. I WON'T Take drugs, period. Try as they may (and want to drug everyone up). No wonder I'm a conspiracy theorist.
