I like old Western shows and I think The Rifleman was one of the best. Originally it was supposed to be biblically oriented, and it kind of was in the first season and I really like this episode because Royal Dano is the protagonist old dude who is charged with finding water for the people during a draught with a willow stick. But nobody thinks he can do it. He says he can if someone will believe, that he can't do it unless they believe!

And that's why it's a matter of faith. That's how faith works. So Let's share this episode. But who is it that will finally believe?! Hmmm.

Know of it, but never watched it as a kid. I will say that there are certain types of sticks that do draw down to underground water as my Grandfather used one when we were kids and drilled a second well.

Really. That's pretty cool. I remember when we were kids we say this episode and later we were all out in the yard making diving rods or whatever you call them. We tried to find water with them, but no one was willing enough to pick up a shovel to prove it, Lol!

I don't doubt that this has the potential to be true. There's lot's of stuff that we don't know about on the earth and especially electromagnetics and the things they can do now. Even so, there is always a good old way. So why not sticks? God created them. First a need, then a prayer, then a manifistation for us blind people to work with (a Stick in this case!), some faith and Tada, water. Thanks Lord, I was thirsty!

It is a pretty good episode of the Rifleman. Only one guy gets killed in this episode. That's a pretty good achievment for Lucas McCain!
