A "meme"-style post/Should Christians Cuss?

Hey All,
He🏑🏒 no.
(I meant that as humor, not actually cussing.)

But we do.
If you don't cuss, you just haven't been made mad enough.

It is a good measure of how well one controls their anger.

Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,

Jesus in the ser on on the mount is teaching how different his people will be from those who don't know him.Matt 5:37 All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
Is about using oaths and swearing by various " Holy " items that what one says is true.
Most ' cussing ' is either blasphemous or simple foul and uncouth.

So why as someone who is supposed to be holy, that is set apart for special service, should one degrade themselves by such practises.

Hey All,
I do agree that taking the Lord's name in vain is cussing. Saying GD is far worse than SOB or worse. GD is breaking a Commandment. You can't get worse than that. I never use that expression. In general, I don't cuss. But when I get angry, yeah it comes out. I am not proud of it. But I have to be honest.

Ephesians 4:26
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

That is very hard to accomplish. I have not mastered it yet.

Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,

I think God knows we are not yet perfect and sometimes when we fall to the flesh in anger we will say things we regret later and for that we need to repent. Anger is an ugly spirit and very hard to control at times, but that doesn't mean we lose our salvation every time we cuss, but that we need to ask forgiveness when we do.

Pro 4:24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Eph 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Eph 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Col 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Jas 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Jas 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Paul says that we should have good conduct and be blameless in our speech. Even in anger we do not need to swear at others to get the problem across. I also do not believe in trying to relax, but cussing comes from an irritated heart.

Hey All,
If you don't cuss when you are angry, you just haven't been made mad enough. I am not that up on superheroes. But isn't it anger that changes Bruce Banner into The Hulk? Speaking for myself, when I get that angry, nice just leaves until I calm down and repent. I am not proud of that. But I have to tell the truth.

Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,
Taz
