Dear Brethren
WalterandDebbieWe possess the new nature of our Savior Jesus which cannot sin in God's eyes.
Eph 1:3 Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
1 Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but He that is begotten of God (Jesus) keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
We actually cease sinning?
1 Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
We can sin all we want because Jesus doesn't care about our sin any more?
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
As a son of God my Father sees me in Christ.
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For
he that is dead is freed from sin.
Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Rom 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
I'll add to this a bit none other on these boards has acknowledged, but there is a race to be won. The Apostle Paul put it this way:
2 Tim 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2 Tim 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung,
that I may win Christ.
Paul is saved, we're told to follow him as he followed Jesus in 1 Cor 11:1, and Jesus is going to have a bride. What do you suppose winning Christ might mean.
