A passion for Prophecy

Hello everyone,

I hope I can have a better experience here than some of the other forums I was on. I removed myself from three of them because there were too many mean people that slandered and hated Jews, Israel, Catholic's, and Democrats and the moderators just let it all slide.

Peoples views are changing about bible prophecy and so are mine. I hope that through my participation in those discussions people will see why so many are questioning those traditional views of prophecy just as I have.

Welcome to CF.net 10s3r in Jesus' name. I personally can't change the hearts of mean people, but my LORD can and hopefully our testimonies will be light unto them. As to changing our views of prophesy or other doctrines, that is the way it should be as we grow in grace and truth of our Lord Jesus. It's good to have you with us and I hope you enjoy the experience of fellowship with us.

What changed my views was doing my own studies. From 73 to 91 I simply accepted the teachings of "the experts" without question. After the first Gulf war began, I as well as many others reconsidered the teachings of these "prophecy experts" and was surprised at the outcome. After Sept.11 2001 is when I really started questioning the churches eschatology. Even some of todays experts like John MacArthur are reconsidering their views and have changed their minds.

What really did it was when I was watching the north tower burn and saw the second plane hit the south tower. Little did I know my mail man's maid of honor was on that plane. When it struck, and out of the first plume of smoke that billowed from the other side, I as well as thousands of others saw the face of Satan in it. I was awestruck!

That's the event that really caused me to reconsider.

Probably not so much in what I have proved, but in adding line upon line and precept upon precept. I don't jump on the bandwagon of conspiracy theories, Harold Camping prophesies, John's town relocation, the Hale-Bopp comet, or modern day JW prophesies. I'll probably see you around the end times forum.

Nah, I wasn't aiming that comment at you because I have no idea what you believe; the proof is in the pudding as we'll see, but not all understanding of written prophesy is incorrect. I'll look forward to your posts, but hope I don't come across as mean spirited if I don't agree one hundred percent.
