a short trip back in time

Just poured a glass of Welch's concord grape juice...
Took a sip.....Suddenly i am about 9 years kinda hiding behind the pulpit drinking down the unused communion cups...
:couch

That's hilarious! You snuck over and got into Jesus's blood, and drank it all up! Good for you, lol.

I bet Jesus got a big laugh out of that. :yes Suffer the little children and forbid them not...

LOL! Shame, shame shame!

You ought to try some pomegranate juice.

They got them out these days 100% pure. Good stuff... And stains stuff like you wouldn't believe.

Looks real similar too.

:lol

Welch's takes me back too. Great-Grams said no pop for a four yr. old. But Welch's came in little bottles shaped like pop bottles. It seems to me they came in a 4pk.
They lived on the last street on the border of town. On those shopping days G- Grandpa would let me sit on his lap and 'drive' the rest of the way home. :biggrin

Lol, yep, good stuff!
What was even better for me, my Dad was a deacon, and he got to take home all the goodie bags left over after ,Christmas.
Nuts, oranges, apples, the good old fashion candy, candy canes,
Back then that made a good Christmas, lol.

I remember those days also... :)

When my kids were young I'd stuff with these things and a small gift or two. Match Box cars, little handheld puzzles, and such. I'd hang them on their bedposts to find in the morning. It was always good for about 45 mins. extra sleep and they loved it. The only time they got to eat in the bedrooms too.

Jake, grandson, reading Reba's post laughed and said "she was trying to get more holy."

LOL Jake i needed it... :tongue

Yep
I miss those days, except for the staying up all night, putting things together part.
Oh what comes out of the mouth of babes, lol.
The truth!
That a boy, Jake....

Reba, your post made me think about the fact I haven't had grape juice in years...other than communion, of course. I went shopping today and made sure to pick up some Welch's.

:-)

My mother was briefly an elder at our church. I remember snacking on that un-leavened bread whenever the opportunity arose...good times.
