A sister in Christ that fell away from God...

Sometimes I think occultists know more about the supernatural than us!
Cessationism is rampant in much of the modern church beyond the pentecostals and charismatics. That produces intentional ignorance of the supernatural realm. Many pentecostals and charismatics never get much beyond speaking in tongues or prophecy, which makes them unintentionally ignorant.

So I think your assessment is spot on.

For what good we did get out of the Reformation, it's doctrine of Cessationism pretty much robbed the church of power and basically fulfilled Paul's prophecy about the end time:

2 Timothy 3:5
5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!

That doctrine predated the Reformation by centuries. IT was developed by the Orthodox in response the Montanist sect of the 3rd and 4th centuries. Elements of Montanism kept popping up sporadically into the 900s ad. Montanism was a non-scriptural prophetic sect, and it when it was declared heretical, so was all the other supernatural gifts of the spirit. (cessationsim)

Interesting.

But the Roman Catholic Church has always believed in the gifts of the Spirit, particularly the gift of healing, right?

That is interesting. Yes and No.

Montanists were big on (false) prophecy and that is what the church came down hardest on. On the books, healing was still considered ok, but not practiced at all. Deliverance from demonic spirits was also on the books as ok; but it became a ritual with no substance.

So while it was not TRULY doctrinally cessationist, the RCC was defacto cessationist; which is why the Charismatic Renewal of the late 1960s raised such a furor in their ranks.
