I just wanted to take this time to announce to one and all that there is a chance that the story I am currently posting right now will be published. my Zumba teacher gave me a self-publishing company that I will email and ask about the cost and the process of getting it done. If I were to get it published, I will be underneath the name A.R Summers because I do not want to use my real last name due to the fact that it's already been posted online. A.R would stand for my first two names though. April, and Rose. And Summer stands for the fact that roses bloom in the summer. So anyway, please keep your fingers crossed for me and also please check out A Fairytale that is currently being posted in Books and Other Writings since I want to know whether or not you would want to buy my book if I'm successful. :crossed

Yeah, I know that was a bit of bad news, but I found this other cool website that will help me take the proper steps once my book is finished. :) Well, as for right now, I'm off to write more.
 
No one would publish The Shack, so the author "self-published." That book has gone off like a sky rocket, and has sold more than 20 million copies. You might ask some of the administrators here if they would want to back you with some money. I think they have a lot of confidence in your work.

Ok, I asked one of my author friends and she recommends Amazon. Looking at the Amazon page, it looks like there's a few options. (My friend says you can also design the cover yourself, or hire someone else to do it.)
Doing some research though is probably a good idea, just so you have an idea what to expect. There's got to be pros and cons to the different options. Like, if you self publish, you probably have to do most of the marketing and promoting yourself.
