How 'bout that? Missed one. Would you believe...Justin Timberlake opened for AC/DC?! Wow, that blew my mind. I think that was dangerous for Justin.
Who opened for Humble pie and Black Sabbath in 1970 in Akron Ohio. (<That was my first concert. Dad test drove a big black limo for the weekend, they took down barricades and let us pull up to the stage cuz they thought we were with the band!) Remember it like it was yesterday.
Who was that, Sparrow? Santana? ;)
Are you sure that was 1970? could it have been 1972?
In 1972, they played Akron .... with Edgar Winter as an opener ... I almost attended
But I can't think of 1970 concert.... and unfortunately, I just had a brain blip of Minnie Pearl's hat with the dangling price tag ..... I think the thoughts of a young Ozzie are getting to me ..gah!
The things we do for relatives............ that marriage lasted maybe 10 years, oh well
Let's see ......... the tour partners originally were Vanilla Fudge, who lasted through the entire tour ............. Iron Butterfly, who stayed only while on the west coast (I believe) .......... and there was also good ol' Country Joe & the Fish, who decided while on the West Coast leg of the tour that their music didn't really blend with the others
Oh, my goodness...I know this one. My brain is definitely malfunctioning. I simple cannot recall.
I don't think I could even provide the list of musicians who have homes in Colorado at this point in time. The jam sessions, when various ones would meet up in one home (whether owned or rented by one of them), were quite fascinating & most enjoyable.
I surrender. What band is it?
