Absolutely Useless Trivia...

Get ready to laugh, because this is so out of the field of logic as can be:

Bobby Vinton opened for Lennon/Ono at that concert.

I think that can fall into the "What were they thinking???" category

Bobby Vinton

Really?! wow. That does have me laughing! I wonder if it may have been a scheduling difficulty and they reached out for anyone to fill the slot, or something like that?

It probably had more to do with Vinton's willingness to take a low payment for appearing.

I'm glad the answer made you laugh ... laughter is a very good thing!

Yeah, laughter's the best medicine! That concert was must've been one extreme to the other!

Got another one? :D

You guys remember punk rock when it first errupted on the scene? not sure if punk rock equates with hard rock, though...

Yeah, I listened to some punk rock in the day. Give me some trivia and see how much I remember. :)

Edward:

Did you like it?

Blessings.

Some of it. The Offspring, The Clash, DRI, Sublime(!), and even Billy Idol had a few good songs. Wasn't Blondie considered a punk Band? If so then include her too. No Beastie Boys for me though Ugh.

Fire away my good man...

Here's another strange pairing for you, Edward:

What group opened for Little Stevie Wonder on his 1964 British tour?

Ohhh, I would have no idea on that one.

You're going to laugh at this answer ................

Wait for it .................

A little bit longer .................

The Rolling Stones

Really! That was then the Stones was just coming on the scene though so I can kind of see it. Nowadays Stevie'd have to open for them!

Isn't it funny, some of the pairings of opening acts for the names ? Life is interesting.

Yes it is! Very laughable. Guess who the Monkees had open for them before?!!

I don't think you'll get this one! :lol (A huge name in rock)

As soon as I clicked that I figured you probably would get it. :lol

...and who opened for Simon & Garfunkel in 1967? (WEIRD PAIRING!)

Diorite is what you call..."Hard Rock" :lol
