Accents

I love doing ancestry. My Dad's side was from Germany and traced that back to 1486 and the first one to America in 1749. My mothers side traced that back to 1879 with the first ones who came to America in 1907. My ancestry is German, Hungarian, Romanian and Portuguese.
Yep, I am all mixed up also.
My Father's father was Irish, my father's mother was a Cherokee Indian.
My German grandfather served with the Germans, during WW1, and served with the French during WW2.lol

i've had people from other parts of the country tell me i sound southern but i don't hear it. i live in central FL which is very transient so there isn't really much of a standard accent around here.
i will admit that i have a weird tendency to pick up accents where ever i am. for example, i spent a week in Tennessee and by the end, sounded like i grew up there, saying "ya'll" all over the place. another time, i got teased a bit by family in the UK when they noticed i was picking up their accent and phrases.

last thing - i recently saw this and think its hilarious. https://www.ajc.com/lifestyles/pare...bulary-from-peppa-pig/13xwkSO3YhtKdQjBUlBDNO/
