Jason, you are a Messianic Jew. I don't think that you fully realize how much of a target that you are in the rifle scope of Satan. Satan has been very successful in blinding the eyes of your ancestors, for hundreds of years he has practiced deception and been able to set God's vengeance on their sins. Now, there is you! You broke loose of Satan's grip of deception and have become a child of God. Satan's enemy is Jesus your Messiah. Instead of you following your ancestors, you rejected the evil one and put your allegiance with your Messiah.
I can only guess how mad and ugly the evil one is toward you. There is nothing that he won't throw at you out of his nature to inflict pain, rebellion, hatred of self, depression, anger, and painful memories from the past.
I believe that God is saying you must be like Joshua going into your Promised Land. You know what He commanded Joshua,
Jos 1:7 Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
Jos 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Jos 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
Jason, you come from a people of great promise. You are a Messianic Jew! The God that you serve wars against evil. He destroys everything that is evil which has squatted on His property or people. Satan has squatted in your memory and thoughts. God is saying, Rise up O man of God! Go to war against evil thoughts and evil ways in your life, rise up and walk with the Messiah, He will be your front guard and your rear guard. Fear not, the battle belongs to Messiah.
