accidentally cursing one self on a regular basis!

this week i have been putting some focus on what i say and think, as i realized oftenly in my language we say things that essentially glorify the devil, one line thats very frequent is basically "amen to the devil" - as a response to something going wrong
despite satan ties in with sah-tan of hebrew, meaning opposer, to oppose- opponent, i believe just thinking or saying the s word will in some way summon it
even being very much aware of all this its an uphill battle to keep myself from accidentally mentioning, and thus giving power to what i dont want, luckily i caught up to this quite early in my progress

be careful of your words and thoughts

I agree.
Sometimes I think that persons that don't believe in a being called satan find it easy to say such words.

Since we do believe in this being, it's good not to mention him all the time.

I would also remind you that the evil one knows what we speak, but not what we think, as God can.

So, yes, let's be careful.

Do you have any particulars? I can think of biblical examples but not the self.

they might not have access to our minds thoughts but they can surely put thoughts into our minds

[EDIT] anything that mentions god or jesus followed by a negative word
i also hear "for satan" a lot, in my language its like saying "for the glory of satan"

Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

This is very hard to do at times as I think we all fall short by the words we speak at times, especially giving place to anger. We defiantly are a work in progress.
