Advice

I think I have good judgment so yes.I pray before making major decisions.I would not tell someone to do something I would not do myself.Being the salt and light of this world is important. The Holy Spirit guides me.

Oooo good one!

I have been praying that everything that i encourage others to do, is something that i am doing, or have learned to do, and still do. Walking the talking. So to speak

Good Q.

The more I grow in The Lord, the easier it is to take my own advice, because its rooted in His wisdom. Of course, its only been 2 years, so...lol...definitely a work-in-progress. I dunno...I think that now that I'm Born Again, its easier to do the right thing because we're given parameters in which to make decisions for ourselves. Before, on the broad road, people had (and have) a multitude of differing opinions and beliefs, none of which proved all that helpful to me.

So, yeah...to the extent that my advice is rooted in Scripture, its easier, now, to take my own advice, because I increasingly recognize that importance of trying to do things God's way (good thing, too...when I did things my way, it ended is unmitigated disaster, lol).

Everything written in scripture is for all of us to learn how to walk in, for it is what brings forth our newness of life in Christ.
How can we say we love God yet hate the Word at the same time or think it is not for us. For God and His Word are one and only those who love the Son have the love of the Father also. If anyone does not adhere to Christ to love honor and obey the Word, thinking they are exempt, they deceive themselves. Our spiritual walk begins as babes on the milk of the Word, then as we keep growing we are able to eat the meat or flesh of the Word/Christ to get the Truth down inside of our hearts till it comes natural to walk in the Spirit.

Interesting responses. :)

Usually when I give advice its because I've experienced it.
Hello dear Sister Angel,
As I was pondering this question, what you have written is along the lines of what I was thinking, but the things I experienced I did it all wrong, so my advice would largely entail what NOT to do. :wink It is a blessing when God brings us through trials and then we are able to impart the wisdom God has given to us to help others - hopefully we all get a chance to help others in this way.

I try not to give advice that I know I wouldn't be able to follow through with it, the advice I give my kids, I would follow it. Other adults? I probably don't always.
