Good question:

But what if the Lutheran and Calvinist views are wrong? Someone has to be wrong since all the sects have different ideas about it all.

Is the afterlife forever? If so, is boredom a factor? What do you do forever without any of the earthly past-times we enjoy here in the world?

Or is the heavenly afterlife just until all the sin and filth and evil is cleansed from the earth and then we all come back down here? If this is the case, what then? Will there be any technology or do we go back to living like A&E did before they bit into the fruit of the tree of knowledge? ie naked.
