Alright guys, I Need Your Help On This One

I was chatting online (alright I was roleplaying again lol) and the person that I was chatting with told me that our current roleplay was too meta? Lol, I guess I'm a little behind on my Internet lingo. Does anybody know what this means?

No, I don't role play. When you are online role playing all the other person can see is what you type. Like say you are role playing Peter Pan. You would take on the character of Peter Pan and say the very things and do the very things he would do and say. It would make you sound like you were actually Peter pan as the other person reads what you type. It's like an actor playing the role of the character they are suppose to be in a movie or play.

I don't think that it was the kind of roleplaying that we do today online or anything though. And you probably wouldn't be roleplaying about Naruto either. I'm not even sure if you know what that is. FYI, it's an animated show about ninjas. I think it's cool but I'm not sure whether or not it's your cup of tea. Naruto is literally the only show in the world that got me crushing on an animated character. AKA,.. this dude; (he really makes me swoon 333) I know I know, *slaps self in face* I got to get ahold of myself! It's just a drawing!!! (a really attractive drawing though :drool)

Like - singing songs by Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins. I had a lot of difficulty being meta or too meta in emulating Dolly Parton.

I remember making guitars out of cardboard and rubber bands pretending we were one of those famous rock bands of the early 60's as my Grandparents front steps was our stage. Good times. Not sure anyone could emulate Dolly

In her early days, Dolly played a 'little Martin guitar'. Some think it might have been a 5-18 model but it was burned up in a fire in the attic of her house.

Yes, the D-28 is a dreadnaught and is quite large, as are the D-18 and D-35.

But I didn't try to imitate them.
Just "admired" them.
