I've fallen into sexual sin, I thought I was masturbating to a girl but when I was done I realized it was a man now I think I'm gay I didn't know I feel awful am I gay now? does God still love me? Either way it was a sin sir, but if you are wanting to please God, sincerely repent and you will be forgiven. 1 Cor 6:9-11 assures you of this.

Repentance leaves you needing salvation, and that salvation comes through Jesus Christ.

Yes we confess our sin, but salvation is another step. Healing and salvation are in the name ofJesus.

John the Baptist preached repentance, and believe in the one who comes after me. Jesus came after John the Baptist.

Only you know what feelings are churning around inside of you after realizing you were lusting after a person you did not know was a member of your own sex. You have to be concerned about becoming a slave to the sin of same sex attraction even if you fell into it by accident. Sometimes just the experience, even if you didn't want it, can enslave you to that sin. You have wandered into some very, very dangerous territory. Stop looking at pictures to arouse and satisfy sexual desire! Turn back while you still can.

There is a command in the OT for a man NOT to dress up as a woman. It is exactly for this reason. You were tricked into thinking the picture was of a woman but it was not. So the sin is not on you, it is on the person who tricked you. And since you were believing you were looking at a woman, NO you are absolutely NOT gay.

The other question was brought up by repliers - the one about whether masturbating in itself is a sin. This probably needs its own thread; but my quick answer is that I believe it is NOT.

There is of course the question of lusting being the sin of adultery. (see Matthew 5.28) The opinion of "lust" meaning any kind of sexual desire is NOT biblical, nor is it in keeping with the cultural understanding of the first century Jews our Lord was speaking to.

First off, you have to be married to be guilty of adultery; at age 14 I seriously doubt that you are.

Secondly, the word used here for "lust" is epithumeo, which only means a strong desire. It is not necessarily a bad desire. In much of the New Testament epithumeo and its variants are translated "covet," In the context of our Lord talking about the 10 commandments, I believe COVET should be the translation in Matthew 5 as well. To covet is to want and plan to take something that is not your own. To see a fancy car in your neighbor's driveway and to want a car like it is NOT coveting. To plan in your mind how to take it away from your neighbor IS coveting.

So in the context here, to see a girl/woman who gives you an arousal reaction is NOT necessarily "lust." TO figure out how to take her away from her husband and make her your sex partner IS lust. (epithumeo = covet)
