American Church Challenge

I have been out and about trying to support my book. While doing so on secular social media, I have witnessed such an increase in the news/media of rampant violent/deadly crime. I believe the US is in a spiritual crises that is nationwide to the point of a societal emergency. The only way I see out of this spiritual nosedive is for the men of God across the land to get out of their air conditioned churches, get outside into the neighborhoods and have a National Day of Revival everywhere. Get large tents and have old-time revival right in America's face. This is a great opportunity for the Kingdom. Great Men of God will arise. Good ol' evangelism is the right medicine for what ails ya America.

Then what? There has to be a next step. Many of the problems facing the people of the US are steeped in economics and communication.

The only way I see out of this spiritual nosedive is for the men of God across the land to get out of their air conditioned churches, get outside into the neighborhoods and have a National Day of Revival everywhere. Get large tents and have old-time revival right in America's face

I applaud the spirit but find the reality naive.

A basic look at the history of revivals shows that it was never about men going about preaching, but about God moving among first his people, reviving there love for him, before that spread out among those around the church.


We cannot manufacturer a revival.
We need to openly live for Jesus while also pleading for him to act.

I am not against tent Revivals, but all the ones I have ever gone to those in attendance was of that particular church or a few friends brought in with them.

There does need to be a Spiritual revival as in hitting the streets in America taking the Gospel to hard hit depressed areas within the inner cities where the crime rate is out of hand. No one wants to come out of their comfort zone to go into the battle field as they fear for their own lives doing so. We are in times of sorrow as Jesus explained in Matthew 24 and it's only going to get worse, but yet God needs those who will go to the darkness to bring Light unto the nations. The problem is not to many want to get out of their comfort zones and help establish programs within the inner darkness as they are afraid to be that light of Christ unto the nations.

Revival starts in each one of us on a daily basis as we are to be that light unto the world taking the Gospel of God's grace out to those who will receive it. Check out programs in your neighborhood and see where you can encourage and help others with their needs, especially in these times of economic ruins where people can not make ends meet. The works we do are the continued works of the Lord that we find in Matthew 25:31-40.

Those are different jobs for different people, but our spiritual foundation is crumbling before our very eyes and unless that is addressed first all else is just building on sand and won't matter.

The Apostles evangelized and it worked because they were blessed in their endeavor to obey. If this is human manufactured, then it will indeed fail. If churches pray/fast first and then find they're led by the Spirit to do this then anything goes.

I agree we need more revivals. but in the inner cities in the darkest areas.

A Christian group got rejected to hire a tax payer funded venue. Be interesting to see if they take it to the courts.

Apparently there request was rejected on some grounds like it didn’t represent the views of the local government or the majority of its people.

I would expect to see something like that from communist Chinas tyrannical government, but not in Australia.

How many citizens served through government to protect the so called freedom of the country, and a group of religious people through that freedom want to hire a tax payer funded venue in respect for that freedom and get denied because apparently they dont represent the same views as the government and the so called majorirty of the people that never even got a vote or say on that false statement.

Can i see the refureendum result for that?.

Its not just i give the people promises in hopes they vote me in and when im voted in i can now dictate without giving everyone a vote and say on every desicion. Every decision made in the name of the public and public interest should have a vote. And even then does does give the right to deny the public a right to hire a public venue.

I say outdoors due to COVID and I believe outdoors will pull people off the streets who would otherwise just walk on by a building. Just my thoughts. I just see such a lost world.

We have some that come seeking and finding Christ here as the Holy Spirit works through us to give them the gospel of God's love to a hurting world. One plants the seed, another waters that seed as it grows and God brings in the harvest.

What we need to be infected with is the love of God filled with His Holy Spirit as we go around lifting up and edifying one another that they can see the light of Christ shine through us. There are so many avenues of evangelizing, but it starts with each one of us taking the word of God out into the world.

I just love the moment when we realize something beyond what we knew arrived. That moment when our palm goes against our forehead acknowledging the old thought and accepting the new revelation ( new revelation to the individual person),

What is happening in my pea brain is this:
The union of the physical Jerusalem council of Acts, and the spiritual aspects of the New Jerusalem council were hidden from me.
I will never in this life be able to wrangle the truth out at a council ( even a keyboard council). Can I make statements? Yes. Can I arrive at the resurrection / judgement seat change on earth? No.
But
There is a way that the Holy Spirit takes each of us aside when we are in need of help. We are taken aside and instructed privately. I have had it happen, but I always had no doctrine to support or explain what was happening.
God has made of Jew and Gentile one new man. I think I wanted to be on the forefront of that change. Wrong, wrong, wrong. What I may be able to do is (hopefully)
Discuss how Gods process works.
We need the original poster of this thread healed / recovered and back online. I have been like an Energizer Bunny lately. Got a bunch of likes, but each of them had a wrong attached to it ( do not expect to explain that statement) (probably two edged sword or one finger out and three fingers in while the thumb points up to God.)

We have only one pure doctrine and that is the doctrine of Christ for that which is already written of what He has taught all of us. There will always be interpretations, views and man's theology for how and what they use to study with. Many rely on their Pastor or commentaries believing everything they hear and read, but yet each one of us are given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that teaches all truths if we are willing to clear our minds of what man teaches and truly pray and hear what the Spirit speaks to us.

I have sat under so many different church teachings in the last forty some years and as you can see not everyone will agree with how another presents their understandings of scripture. I had to learn to put almost everything I was taught over the years behind me and start afresh with just me, the Holy Spirit and the word of God as I started reading scripture like it was the first time I ever read it.

Now when I read and study the scriptures I take it word for word, sentence by sentence until I complete a chapter. I will not leave one word, sentence or chapter until I understand what is written. Many times it takes cross referencing between the OT and NT and the history that is contained in the Bible.

Do I always get it right? No. But the Holy Spirit will always send correction if we are opened to receive it. This is why it is so important to Spiritually discern that of what is being taught, 1 John 4: 1-6, and there is no shame in asking questions for that is how we find truth.

How the correction is sent is what I am looking into. Just that minor part. No big changes in how we believe in the work of Jesus. No change In how the Holy Spirit works. Just wow so that is what is going on - dumb me never saw even a shadow of the honest truth. The agony of being honest about correction is the door that seems to be opening. If I open the evidently sealed information I sure want feedback: correction if needed,
