at briggs they automated biggest part of the crankshaft machinery . much of the time at least one or more of the bots cause a break down . keeps them from getting the production numbers they need. creating more over time. our dept went automated caused our numbers to drop . the only jobs i see being created is stores o yes to get the manufacturer techs in to fix the little bugs we have. since automation will cost around $11000.00 for them to tweak them..might i add the equipment is less than a year old..might i add these machines are from Taiwan china but built in the united states. we have been sold out to china

Im.not a fan of Chinese trade imbalance but having been.forced into different jobs in the military has taught me to look for the positive.it wasnt this way ,you enlisted as one Job and usually retired as such.
I.was forced from turning wrenches into meter reading which now will change.

Yes we have, by bankers. Our near zero per cent savings rate can't compete with their 50% savings rate. Few savers means few machines.

We can't stop other countries from automating. If we want our goods to be competitive on the world market, we must automate too. Otherwise no one will buy our products, as they will be hideously expensive compared to other nations' products. Then even the mechanics who maintain machines will be out of a job. This will lead to twice as much unemployment as automating does. We can save half of the jobs by automating, which is better than saving no jobs.

The key is to invent new jobs producing brand new types of products to employ the rest. Among other things, this requires savings, and an honest dollar so that businesses have an accurate metric of what shoppers really want to buy.

so the solution is no new jobs of course a robot never needs a break no health insurance no work comp no unemployment no paid vacation time no call in sick . your right automation must come.. so the wealthy can make more dollars while others have to work for 8 and 9.00 a hour

Necessary. Our military would have zero chance of victory if we were still using horse cavalry and wooden sailing ships. China would defeat them rapidly using machines, and take over the US. We must adopt the most modern weapons to remain competitive. We must constantly update to the newest machines.

No,these jobs in them selves aren't recent.the cav isn't all that different,ada ,stinger aND avenger are the same just one mos,mp and corrections arent new,aND the transportation job isn't new.gear aND trucks ,tanks and tactics are what changes.

The GOP response is to grant expensive monopolies to select special interest groups protecting their allies turf from foreign competition. This makes lobbies that support the GOP happier, but makes the price of their products a burden for majority. This expensive burden makes the majority unhappy. After tying expensive monopoly/oligopoly burdens onto the majority, the GOP refuses to lift a finger to help them carry the burdens.

On top of automation making people switch jobs, bankers prevent prices from ever becoming more affordable due to automation. Thus the majority move ever backward due to inflation, even as productivity improves. In effect, bankers are confiscating all of the productivity improvement for redistribution to the financial sector, and then some. If automation were allowed to lead to deflation, the average person could at least console themselves that they could buy additional goods at the store due to automation. Bankers are making the majority unhappy, but the majority cannot figure out that bankers are fleecing them with "credit creation".

Treasury can't afford to field as many troops as before, due to bankers confiscating purchasing power from revenue. The air force is desperately trying to build fully automated planes, partially because they can't afford as many pilots.

Uhm no,the military spends more now then it did during the larger Regean military.that's accounting for inflation. The mps In a hmmv carried more ammo,deadlier weapons then the infantry in nam.

An mrap,is even more armed. We have waste in the military. Trillions spent aND congress didn't know of how the dod bypassing them to spend.

I have been in from 1991to 2017.it's got little to do with inflation but more about waste from contracts, shifting priority of gear to train with to spend on needless things such as ufo research.

Tag of each state haggles for what units to have as Ngb dictates Size.saving money by switching my unit to an 88m isn't fiscally sound,cost of training each troop was paid for by respective states.

Florida,bought trucks,moved from an owned armory that now sits empty and they rented from the city of ft pierce and to train troops plus recruiting for each. Illinois paid for each gear it recieved aND to to change their unit into an mp correction.now it's been said the guard will increase.

Govt downsizing in this matter often is costly in the long run.we paid haji to do what my mos was.I had to ship trucks,gear to baf from abad using them and recieve them.only ammo,and other things were sent by bird.

The costs of making a tank today aND the dod budget,was x amount of dollars abd they calculated using 1980s money to house,feed,train,the entire force aND gear etc, ships with inflation based on the dollar amount was More. As an e6 I made In 4 days what I made as an e1 In a month .the px isn't saving anyone money, nor is the commissary much.

A pvt makes more then what an e5 dId in the early 90s. I get that but the point is we are a 4th of what we were in the 80s,eearly 90s abd we spent More.we sent 50000 to desert storm while deployed to korea,Germany and for six months and it didn't phase the military much.do that now and we have troops doing multople tours.

I'm not for that but our role In doctrine is focused on assymetry,not actual fighting s nation in a symmetrical war.I dont agree with that but it's likely china nor Russia at present can afford or would attack us.a type of cold war where proxy states would fight.see afghanistan for that.

We can't field as many troops. That says it all. We can't afford as many ships or planes either. The dollar just doesn't buy much anymore.

The CPI is meaningless. Only boots on the ground and number/quality of machines matters.
