I wonder about how many americans dont know about the darn constitution, the scary thing is how many people will vote on saying and cleaches and not reasearch the issues at hand.

I can't believe people are that out of touch. :o

Edit: woah woah woah, there. This person was acting as if the first amendment was preaching hate speech. Personally people should be more aware of what the amendment says, but if he is trying to prove a point by using underhanded means to do so, no dice.

At the time of this stunt, I bet it was when the LGBT hate crime legislation was being debated. If this is what this video was about, sorry no dice from me.

We never see the petition, so we have no idea what it actually says, so I really have no idea how biased this is. I'm sorry, but I don't support crap like this. Either go out and educate people, or don't. Humiliating people like this is by no means a loving way to get things done.

Anyone watch the whole video yet? At the end it shows what the petition actually said.
It stopped about 5 min in for me. I'm refreshing the page

January 24, 2010 was the video date.

Doesn't mean it took place today. Especially since he is walking around in a t shirt and everyone else is in spring clothing. Even in the southern states, it gets chilly this time of year.

Edit: Ok, I saw the end of the video..............We still never see the petition. As stated before, we don't know what it actually says, we have to trust this guy, and frankly, people running around screaming NWO don't exactly peek my trust o-meter.

it's warm enough in Florida to do that. I'm wearing shorts right now.

It's not a real petition but only a stunt to prove the point that some people will sign anything.
So people will stop saying things against government or Obama. Stop hate speech.
Some people heard him say that and they signed the petition. :lol

So, I watched the whole video. I'd say about half of the sample people signed it? That sounds about the same percentage along party lines. :lol This is exactly why the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Gibbs and all the other clowns are running the show right now. And the same mindset want to warn the Americans of the dangers of the Limbaughs, Becks, O'Reilly's and so forth by introducing the idea of a "Fairness doctrine" (which is nothing more than a loser philosophy where they want their own soapbox but nobody wants to listen, so they try to force it). I do think people are starting to wake up and come around though based on recent elections for governors and senate.

I watched it and thought "learning moment" so I dragged the kids in to watch it as well. Just the fact that it looked like he got almost a whole page of sigs is enough to be worrisome.

Lance, I'm of two minds about "hate crimes", but "hate speech" is a different story. There cannot be regulations regarding "hate speech", not in a free society. Any hint to limit "hate speech" is a scary idea to be immediately squelched.

yes, handy it is scary how he got so many to sign it. Some would sign away all their rights if things were wording right

I doubt if most of the ones that signed even know what the first amendment is, but I bet they could tell you anything you wanted to know about the stars of reality TV.

Who they showed means nothing. We have no idea how many really signed or didn't, only what they wanted to show us. So it probably wasn't an even split.

Yeah it had nothing to do with the last 8 years of a Republican filled government where civil rights where starting to disapear thanks to the Patriot act and threats of Martial law.

So we should support the "
you are always right, everyone else who disagrees with you is evil and hates America" Mentality that those shows seem to emit?
. I do think people are starting to wake up and come around though based on recent elections for governors and senate.
Wake up to what? Getting tired of people taking their money roundabout, so they want to go back to their money just being taken directly from them and live in fear? Hey republicans, who hates us today that we should invade and bomb? How many more medical facilities should we cut funding to?

Well, Lance, I'm Libertarian, which is a doctrine closest to the Founding Fathers, but I guess I'll take what I can get, not that the Republican Party is 100% perfect. Certainly the crowd in Washington now is the most Anti-Constitutional crowd yet, and reminds me of something you see in South America, Chavez or whoever else like that.

Un-be-liev-a-ble...
A few of them signed without even really understanding what they were signing.
How dumb are we ?

Absolutely.
And every time I hear one of those anti american dirtbags call US 'unAmerican' it makes me want to eat a large spaghetti lunch and forcibly vomit down the front of their shirts....publicly of course ;)

But....
That even ONE person was found that didnt READ and UNDERSTAND what they were signing says something.
One moron is one too many.
