America's Top 10 Worst Traffic Signs

The creation of safe and legible road signs is an art, but the 10 traffic guideposts below demonstrate not all sign makers are Michelangelo. Whether because of confusing symbols, contradictory instructions or an excess of information, these signs obfuscate more than help the driver. Most of these signs are the creation of local and state governments that seem to lack the time or sophistication to make clear ones. Although these are the 10 most confusing traffic signs we could find, feel free to add photos and descriptions of awful signs you've found in your own travels....

Click on the link to see what their top 10 are, this is hilarious :rolling

Only in America? LOL, oooh noo,... They have some pretty whacked out signs in Britain and Europe as well :yes
Of course they would, but there is a running joke inside Australia that if anything slightly strange is in the news, (such as a woman dailing 911 because of a bad McDonald's order) then everyone automatically assumes it's America...and most of the time it is. :D

Not nasty...just having a chuckle. :lol

Yeah, lol. It's not just you guys, the Brits have been doing that for decades :yes

My favorite is "no left turn unless traffic is light on aviation". Nice! I used to live in St. Louis, and the runway at the airport literally ended on an embankment just over the highway. They could have used a 'beware of aviation' type sign. I nearly wrecked more than once when a plan left the runway about 30 feet over my car!

I remember that someone on the internet has a blog completely dedicated to posting various pictures of funny signs that people all around the world send him/her.

I'll have to find it.
