Shouldn't it stand to reason that the more people there are, the more those people will be represented in all statistics. Also some people may call themselves "Christian" but really do not follow the faith. It is perhaps these people who are in the negative statistics, and not real God loving Christians.

I'm sure there are Christians in prison. What better time to review your life. Too bad some on the outside don't do it. Another possibility though...If you are coming up for parole, don't you think they would want to have this starchy clean image from going to the prison ministries church, hence maybe some really aren't Christians at all.
Not making any judgements, but, those are possibilities....and again...not many mighty, not many noble, etc. foolish things to confound the wise, base things...etc.
I am by no means saying all Christians have been to prison, in any of this...but it is a good platform for conversion.
The Christians I admire the most, didn't mess up their lives in the first place.

I wonder if those supposed stats differentiate those who became Christian in prison and those who were before. And of course it cannot differentiate between those who actually are Christian and those who claim to be, both in prison and out. I highly, highly doubt 75% of Americans are truly Christian.

We have to define what a christian is. A christian literally has Christ living in them
!! They do and handle things the way Christ wants them to. Not theirs, but His will be done. Claiming to be a christian and actually being a christian are distinctly different.
Now you know the why.
